Custom Martin D 35 D35 Guitar Review
The D-35 is a non-cutaway dreadnought from the Standard series made by Martin Guitars. This model is advertised as the perfect option for intermediate and advanced guitar players. A quality acoustic guitar is all about the wood, and the Martin D-35 serves up a classic tonewood cocktail with no compromises.
The top is solid Sitka spruce for big projection note clarity. Its back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, a classic Martin material. A select hardwood neck and bound, ebony fretboard give the Martin D-35 smooth playability that compliments its awesome sound.
I"ve always wanted a Martin d-35 but never pulled the trigger on it. To me the d-35 is the pivotal sound of what an acoustic should sound like. I have wanted a D-35 for a long time. I was concerned about buying a Martin without playing it firstI have been very fortunate to purchase (as new) a Martin D-35.The Martin D-35 is by far and away the best guitar I have played- the fret board and sound is amazing! Over the years I have had numerous guitars.I own six Martin guitars (HD-28, 1980 D-41, 000-15M, SWOMGT, GPCPA5K) and have played many more Martins. The D-35 is by far the best Martin I have ever played/heard. Beautiful and Quality built.Very good tone and balance. Clear and strong bassprojection. Great sustain, clarity, tone, action and playability. Perfect for all kinds of genre and playing style.
Tone is opening up to a balanced ringing sustain that makes the ears smile.Strumming, picking, or fingerpicking neck and action feel great.Easy to play, projects, balance, everything you want. also, a beauty. I like the balance, projection, the punch of the tone. Intonation from lowest to highest frets is perfect. The longer you play the better it sounds. The older it gets the better the tone. This is one reason it can be a good investment. I am a fingerstyle, finger-pciker. so far it has been awesome!Other guitar brands don't have this attribute. But one complaint, the strings buzz around the 10-12 fret range, also they buzz with a capo. i have not taken it to anybody for a pro setup and i might need to do that, although I feel like that should be done at the factory.
