I spent the extra money and bought this case for my 2005 Martin SPJC-16RE which I have taken off the road. The case it came with is pretty beat up so I thought my Martin deserved something better to showcase it when friends come over. You're basically paying for the upgraded handle, the lock and the extra padding on the inside plus a slightly bigger storage compartment for strings, picks, etc. The interior is a very nice velvety plush wine color and really accentuates the beauty of the instrument. I don't plan on taking the case out much and I wouldn't recommend it for the road. The exterior appears to be only of a slightly better quality as the less expensive cases. If you want to display your vintage guitar in a very nice case, then this one will do it well.Martin Jumbo Acoustic Hardshell Case
.the lining wasnt all that nice.I had to send it back anyway because the sales rep did not know what a dreadnought style guitar was and he sent me this jumbo size case instead claiming this was the kind I needed. They need more knowledgeable sales reps on the phone!
