I've used D'Addario EJ 17s for years; that's all I've ever used except for a brief time when I used Elixers. However, I just got a new Martin HD 28, and they sent a box of these strings with the guitar. I thought, "What the heck." I put them on this afternoon, and I just got home from a gig tonight. I absolutely loved the strings. The play and sound great. I always thought Martin strings were....not that great. But this is my new string of choice.

.These strings give you the volume and tone of a medium gauge string with the playabilty of a lighter gauge string. I play blues/folk/slide and they sound great in all areas. If there is better I havent hit it yet.

.I use these strings on my Taylor GS Mini. I mostly fingerpick. Love the bass and lively trebles, string tension is just right for me. They hold up well with the stresses of alternate tunings. Improves the sound of my GS Mini exponentially over the Elixer mediums that come standard. They have a nice long lifespan also. Highly recommended.

.I put these MFX 750's on my Taylor 818e. These 750's are not coated and didn't seem to continue stretching near as bad like some new strings do. I use finger style and quite frankly, I have not found any coated strings to date that does not have that dull finger to string sound. Thought I would try these MFX 750's and would buy them again before buying the more expensive coated strings for my style of playing. Also, I don't reckon I have ever bought a set of bad Martin Acoustic strings. I even had "new" Martin M150's for a couple years and had some oxidation or something on them. They were all I had, I put them on expecting the 1st string to snap and no problems. And they sound good as new. I will continue to try different strings for the Taylor 818e but for my old Fender and Alvarez acoustics, Martin gives them great volume and playability at a very reasonable price.

.I wanted to try them because of Tommy Emmanuel's endorsement. I have played them for a while, not long enough to see how they play out or break. So far so good. Not blown away. I like the price but may stick with the MR 4200s but these are a fine string.

.Love the FX strings. I use them on my Martin d-28, Martin custom 16, D-35, and my Washburn guitar. They sound great and last a long time, don't break and hold their tune good. People are always commenting about how good my guitars sound and how easy thy are to play. I like the Martin SP strings too but now use mostly the FX strings. I play mostly Bluegrass and gospel

.I started using these strings about a year ago and im quite pleased with the results. Great for that martin bluegrass sound with the booming bass for that constant drive bluegrass requires. Just the right midrange for rhythm and the right high for when you take a break.
