These Martin strings are my "all-the-time" usual strings. Although my playing style is a hard dynamic style, I don't mind changing strings regularly, because these strings are affordable, and dependable, too, through their lifespan. I shorten that "lifespan" a great deal as my style erodes the wound strings at the frets.

.A nice bright acoustic string, but they don't have that tone for very long, at least in my climates. They do better here in California than they do at my house in the tropics. The packaging of two strings per envelope doesn't work well in the tropics, but I still use them. They are pretty cheap by the 10 pack!

.I've never broken one! I change them pretty often though as they get dull sounding, as does any string. Nice an bright out of the box, nice bass tone too.

.I was very, very happy with my last coupla purchases thru MF! I recieved both orders,of which were separate orders, days apart, within 10 days! Thanks so much MF!!!!

.This is my "go-to" acoustic guitar string set. Its sound and tone is delightful to me: crisp, sharp and shiny on a guitar with bone nut & saddle.
My play style wears severely on strings because of bending and use of much vibrato across the frets. I have used more-expensive coated strings, but these Martins sound better and they last about as long as coated strings, due to string-wear at the frets; thus, the Martins are a great value in guitar strings.
Rarely have I broken a string in this set. (With coated strings, one string per set seemed to be my pattern of breakage.) Because of the low cost of this dependable string set, I enjoy its consistent great tone on my acoustic guitar at a fine price, and rarely have I broken a string. Now I joyfully look forward to changing strings on my acoustic guitar!

. I love these strings. They sound great, they have a great feel on the fingers. They aren't the sturdiest, so lighten your hands up, or better yet, chuck your picks like a real guitarist. They don't keep their brightness more than a week, so change them often. At these prices you can afford to do that.

.This is an overall great string pack! I got it at a lower price than it says here and they still worked great! The only bad part is it snapped when I was putting it on, but that was my fault (I let the string go in such a weird angle when it was loose, that the steel on the inside cracked, but otherwise this is a GREAT GUITAR STRING!!!

.If these Martin Strings last longer than the SPs, and come in a 10-pack, I might as well stick to these, besides the Medium gauge string sets.

.The Martin m540 is the only acoustic guitar string I will use. I play in my church worship band so I play minimum of twice a week (usually about 4-5 hours a week). These strings hold up very well, In the three years I have been playing this guitar with these strings I have broken only two strings. After about three weeks of playing I do change them as they begin to sound less bright. I have played Elixir strings on this guitar and I can't tell that they retain the "new sound" any longer than the martin 540's. You simply can't find a better string at any price.

.I have only bought one set of martin strings in my life and was dissapointed. small E string snapped BEFORE it was even tuned up. I thought I'd try something different for a change, but now I seriously doubt I'll ever go back to martin strings unless they miraculously do somethin big in the future. I'd rather spend 15bux on strings that last more than a tuning
