The Walnut 12 from Seagull is a well-built, budget-friendly 12-string acoustic that produces a consistent, gorgeous tone. It pairs a select solid cedar top with walnut back and sides, and a silver leaf maple neck with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The Walnut 12 also features a tusq nut with a fully compensated saddle from Graph Tech. Rounding out this simple, yet stylish guitar, it has a burn stamped rosette and semi-gloss finish that protects but doesn't hide the tonewoods' natural grain.

I ordered this only to try it out. I'd been experimenting with the Martin HPL 12-string and liking it a lot, but the design, construction, and materials in the Seagull attracted me, and it cost a couple hundred less. I'm keeping it. A breeze to play, sounds great, real wood (the top is spruce, not cedar), and looks really nice. I own three Martins (have owned twelve) and will always choose them if I'm looking for six strings, but for 12, I'm plenty pleased with this Seagull. I've already recorded with it (amazing results) and will gig with it in the next few days.Seagull Walnut 12 Acoustic Guitar Natural
.I've only had it for about a week, but I've been playing it enough to offer a good first impression. It's easy to play- you hardly notice the transition from 6 string to 12 (and I have small hands). Probably the best action I've experienced on a 12 string. Easy to tune/stays in tune. Handles a capo well. Light weight but feels well built. Burn stamped rosette is a nice added touch. I own a couple of Seagulls. A good guitar for the price. The natural color of the top is a bit too light for me. A shade darker would be nice. The packaging could've been a little better. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
