I bought one these last year. As soon as I plugged it in it was love at first power chord. The tone is what I hear in my head when I imagine my perfect sound. The cleans range from dark and hauntingly beautiful to bright and sparkling highs It sounds great when it just starts to break into overdrive territory. When the overdrive gets thicker it has an old school punk type sound. I wish it had a reverb tank but it is pretty heavy already. Also there's no effects loop but don't let that scare you. .The sound of this amp the fact is does clean just as well as a dirty mean streak. Fender can make some beautiful cleans marshall some amazing dirt. But neither do both well. Only Mesa and Orange seem to be able to have this narrowed down. My only dislike is that it doesnt come with a foot switch which is something you would always want with a two channel. I would have given it a 10 if it came with that switch
Its a basic as it comes as far as bells and whistles. It does however have 2 channels with MID,Treb,Bass Settings unlike some of the Thunderverb amps. When I plugged it in and dialled it in it was that perfect sound. It makes the P90's in my Junior scream. it has such a growl the vintage 30's are my sound. Even my 335 is in love with this amp.
Ive always had vintage 30 cabs from orange usually powered by a Mesa Amp Trans Atlantic 15. The cabs are so well made I have never had a problem with this amp.
For an english made quality amp the price is good. yes its more than a HRD3 but it would eat a Fender combo alive.
