Great amp. All solid-state, but they've got the tube emulation so consistent and realistic, I think if you did a blind test comparing it with a similar-power tube amp, it might be hard to tell which is which. This box is lightweight, but will play plenty loud enough to get me dirty looks from the wife. .I'm so tired of lugging a case full of effects pedals to a simple jam. All I really want is a good crunch -- but I don't want to fool with batteries, pedals, etc. This amp is a great compromise. The "Dirty" channel is great -- exactly what I'm looking for. The "Clean" channel isn't the greatest -- but it's good enough.

I've owned too many amps to count over the years. I needed a low-volume practice amp to replace my broken Pod that I had been using for late night home practice. Having owned Orange amps before, I took a shot on this one (I love the look of the Oranges). I've got an older Marshall 100 watt superlead and a Vox AC 30 that I gig/record with so I just wanted a no-frills amp that sounded tube-like. I'm blown away by how great this little Orange sounds! Honestly, I've owned tube amps before that weren't as warm and dynamic as this one. At this price you can't go wrong whatsoever. It even handles pedals well. .I was prepared for disappointment in this price range, this little beauty is worthy of it's Orange name.
Smaller than I expected, but also louder and with a pretty impressive sound. Clean channel is acceptably clear, and the Dirty channel has beautiful powerful distortion eliminating the need for a distortion pedal.

.I was surprised by how loud it can get! 20 watts is way more than enough for practicing around home and I could easily see it being used in a small bar or coffee shop with no problem. Clean, it has a beautiful tone and warmth to it and the dirty channel really has a wide range of grit to it. I will definitely be enjoying this for practice and small shows. Everything on it is high quality. The knobs have just the right amount of resistance and the strap feels like it'll outlast me. It's light, I could set it up anywhere there's an outlet and it sounds wonderful.
