very awful reverb effects. I don't know if this item has spring reverb or not. I don't think it does. If the reverb is digital, it's the worse digital reverb sound I have ever heard, sounds like a runaway bad echo, and not able to control it. Sounds like singing through a box when using a mic. Have to really work on the EQ knobs to get at least a decent sound. Contemplating in returning it and try the Phonic with digital effects. The good thing about this is that it's light to carry.

.First, the good -- cheap, lightweight, easy to use and built solid.Second, the odd -- Line out level is affected by input and output levels. No stereo or channel assignment despite two speaker outs.Third, the bad -- The noise level is close to unacceptable. My clients don't seem to mind it, but then their average age is about 70 with varying degrees of hearing loss and they say it isn't a problem, so take that with a grain of salt.

.Playing along wwith backing tracks and cd's through my 212 amplifier sounded like a small transister in a large hallway. I decided to look for a PA system that would overcome the problem. I found that the PVI4B was the most affordable solution. With it I bought the PV10 Speakers. It really came though. It has a very up-front stage-worthy sound. It really cranks at garage jam levels with backing tracks. It has fair volume with a microphone. I found that it doesn't have enough ummph to support a bass but if you just want a system that will work at garage jam levels, it does a great job.

.I use it for practice in the garage. If you are looking for a cheep practice amp for guitar, this makes a great alternative to a lower end half stack. A modeling pedal and a 4x12 with the PVi will stand up with most amps, and you can have vocals as well! As for features, it has a good EQ and RCA ins for you MP3 player. The reverb is so bad I took the knobs off and there is no efx loop.

.It is very important you match the ohms of your speaker to the amp. If you use an 8-ohm speaker, expect about one-half the power output. It is just barely loud enough for my keyboards to play at practice. I have to turn it all the way up (due to my 8-ohm speaker) and there's distortion at that level. I will be getting something more powerful, maybe even just a pure amp. The mixer wasn't part of my needs, but this one suited my needs at the time.

.so far so good... have to see if it lasts... I expect it will.
