The price is really good for these monitors but Peavey really skimped on the horn drivers for these. They blow very easily. We use these with QSC GX5's which are perfectly matched power-wise, but the horn drivers are below par. I have found that many other people are having the same problem as well. After some runaround in trying to rectify the problem we just decided to replace the drivers. After dropping in some Selenium D220Ti-8 drivers these monitors now perform really good AND they sound much better. After pulling the original driver (which is some inferior after market no-name brand driver. Boo, Peavey!!!) we couldn't get over how cheap the stock drivers are compared to what we'd installed. BIG difference. If you are going to go with these monitors make sure to do some research on replacement drivers. At least have some on hand if the stock drivers fail as it only took about 15 min to install the new drivers. I do recommend those Selenium drivers. The monitors themselves are a good price, but I would have rather paid an extra $50 for better stock components (which is roughly what it cost to retrofit each one after the fact). In retrospect, I would have rather gotten some Yamahas instead. These Peaveys are working fine now, but I will not buy Peavey ever again after seeing what inferior components they put inside their product.

.I have had four of these monitors for 2 years and the HF drivers are blown in each one. They have only seen LIGHT duty and have not been over-powered. The claim that "Peavey's exclusive Sound Guard? IV high-frequency driver protection keeps it high driver safe" is dubious in my opinion as it certainly did not protect mine. Sound quality I would rate as OK at best - certainly have heard much better, but not at this price. Cabinet is solid, no problems w/ the 12" speakers as of yet. I did notice when I was taking the grill off to replace the drivers that I had some bent screws from the factory. The plastic nuts that hold the input jacks are very cheap and break very easily. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Next time around, I would certainly get a different brand and save up to buy something of higher quality.
Peavey PV 12M 12" Floor Monitor
.I am very impressed with this monitor. It is highly efficient, so it is louder than the other moitors we use on stage. It is very crisp for vocals and acoustic instruments. You can't go wrong with these. If you want a monitor with top-notch components, well you're gonna pay for it. These are really priced right and offer a lot of value for someone on a tight budget.

.These do OK as compared to similar priced monitors, really disappointed to see the " made in China " print when I got them unboxed. So far they are holding but my confidence in the brand name just isn't there anymore.
Peavey PV 12M 12" Floor Monitor
.We run five of these and two Peavey 15P monitor speakers for our band...I have not a single complaint on these... all 5 have performed perfectly without a single failure. Quite, clean, clear, crisp, reliable... Not much more I can ask from these.
Peavey PV 12M 12" Floor Monitor
.this monitor is rediculoius!!! sounds crystal clear and LOUD!! easily can be heard with a band. Most monitors for this price can't even come close to the quality of this thing!!!
Peavey PV 12M 12" Floor Monitor
.no company will ever beat peavey, these monitors are amazing... they can perform as well as any other monitor for half the price. sound really clean good low end
Peavey PV 12M 12" Floor Monitor
.I've been in bands for over 30 years. Peavey, JBLs, Crown are some of the best in the business. For the money, got then on sale, can't beat it. Easily put 12-15 years casual use, or 8-10 hard touring into these before your next set.
Peavey PV 12M 12" Floor Monitor
.I was tired of borrowing some Monitor Speakers every time we had a gig, so when these Peavey PV12M went on sale I decided it was time to have my own set. They were very well packed upon arrival, and sounded great right out of the box. I have used them for 2 gigs so far and I'm very satisfied with their sound quality.
Peavey PV 12M 12" Floor Monitor
.I bought one of these when I played as a duo, and then when the band grew to four I bought another. I use them as floor monitors for smallish-venue gigs. My PA is a 600w Peavey, and these speakers have the capacity for that--many other "economy" monitors have a much lower peak capability.

The sound is very clear at all frequencies. We have male and female vocals and acoustic instruments (guitar, mando, sax, cajon), and everything comes through beautifully.
