Based on the AKG C12 (sold in the US as the ELA M251) tube condenser microphone, this accurate clone replicates the sonic characteristics of the sought-after original. The heart of this build is a gold-sputtered Mylar capsule made in California. The circuit is based around an Electro Harmonix EH6072A tube and a custom wound output transformer made in the US. The microphone comes in an aluminum case with two locks and includes a power supply, power cord, 7 pin XLR cable, wind screen, shock mount and leather pouch for the microphone.
A hand-built premium power supply is available for an additional cost of $190.
