This pedal is brand new, in a sealed box. 

This is a very cool distortion pedal that really is different than others. The layout makes you think that it's like a typical distortion, gain, volume, EQ. But the distortion is generated more by adjusting the EQ than the distortion knob. The distortion knob acts more as a fine tuning of the distortion from the EQ. The depth knob fine tunes the low end coming in to the pedal to help tighten up down tuned guitars and basses. It's subtle, again, more of a fine tune knob, but it works. Know that, and you'll have a lot of fun with this pedal. You can use it on your clean amp to add a lot of interesting color to you sound, a shaggy, hairy grit that has a much different tone than an overdriven amp, which is what makes this so cool. You can stack it on top of your already driven amp and use the EQ to adjust the tone for a unique part or lead. I find it is great for adding that alternate sound to an amp you already love. It doesn't try to sound like another amp, it's its own thing.

I think DOD made a bit of a confusing choice naming this pedal. A boneshaker is the type of bike that is pictured on pedal's graphic. But boneshaker probably makes most people think this is a death metal, metalzone type pedal. It's just a good, fuzzy, overdrive/distortion pedal that is really suitable for all kinds of styles. I was looking for a pedal that would give me another tone to my amp, and this fits the bill.
