I am an experienced novice - lol. I am a hobbyiest like a lot of other "sitting on the sofa players" which means lessons when I was young, tons of books and dvd's and lots of practice, but I have never played out. This is a great guitar at a great price. Light and resonant. Perfect for the at home guitar enthusiast that does not feel the amount of time they spend playing justifies the purchase of an expensive top shelf instrument but want the buzz of playing a tele and a good tele at that. This baby fits the bill. Highly recommended.Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline Electric Guitar Natural
.For the money, this is an absolutely phenomenal instrument. Admittedly, I was was highly skeptical about buying a Chinese-made Squier, but I have been happily proven wrong. I recommend this guitar highly.
This guitar is awesome. Fantastic neck, beautiful body and tons of sustain. It is now at the top of my guitar rotation.
Quality is generally excellent. Tuners work well, the frets are level, and the fit and finish are superb. The pups and pots are pretty good, although I will probably change them out over time. Bridge was a bit on the cheap end, so I swapped it out for a Joe Barden bridge. Although it played well out of the box, I splurged on a professional set-up which really maximized the playability and sound of the guitar.
Unbelievable value. Although this guitar is manufactured in China, the quality is excellent. Yes, it doesn't come with hand-wound pups and mother-of-pearl inlays that you would find on a custom shop American tele, but this is a great work-horse guitar that will last me for years.

.I went to a local guitar shop looking to buy a Telecaster. I have owned a Fender Standard (MIM) years ago and missed it. I played some MIA and MIM and this one absolutely blew me away. I can't believe the quality and sound/tone of this guitar (for the price - are you kidding me!). BUY THIS NOW! I have had this guitar for almost a year now and I have played it live many times and will be recording with it soon. I have since bought a Classic Vibe 60's jazz bass, and I am saving up for the 60's strat. Let the Classic Vibe fan club begin!

.I run a shop in Hawaii and have played/sold about 5 of these guitars. They are consistently awesome. I sold one to one of Bruno Mars' guitar players and bought one for myself as well. I first became aware of them through Incubus' guitarist, Mike. He used one on every song on the "If Not Now, When?" record and took it on the road as his main touring axe for that whole tour cycle. If you want to hear it in action (albiet with different pups and a Fender logo on the headstock) just google Incubus HQ or any Incubus video from 2011. The stock pups are Alnico 5's and have a beautiful vintage Fender tone. I won't replace them. The neck pup is actualy useable on these guitars and I'm able to get a wonderful Hendrixy-blues tone quite easily. The only mods I have done was to sheild the pickup cavities with copper tape and add strap lock buttons. Otherwise, I'm leaving it totally stock. The necks are AMAZING too. Scroll up and press add to cart now. You will love it. Guaranteed! :) One day playing it and you'll actually be proud to show off that you rock a Squier. I have 20+ personal guitars and access to about 75 more and this is in my top 3 easily.

.I remember the Squire of old, and I was reluctant to purchase one until I began reading online reviews. What a delight to find that this instrument lives up to all of the glowing reviews I read here and elsewhere online. Right out of the box, this guitar was ready to play! The set-up was spot on. The neck is perfect. The frets were finished well and are smooth as butter. The body's finish is flawless and this sucker is LIGHT. I personally really like the feel of the fretboard finish, which has a glossy coating. The tuners keep the guitar in tune, even with a lot of string stretches. My only gripe is that the neck pup is rather uninspiring, but stock Telecaster pups usually are. So, I think I'll replace it with a DiMarzio Twang King. I'm OK with the bridge pup for now as it's plenty sassy. I am also going to install a 4-way switch. This guitar is an absolute no brainer and a STEAL at this price. I hate to say it, but the Chinese (who have been making stringed instruments for 100's of years) are making guitars that are going to give American made guitars a run for the money. This guitar truly is as well made, plays as well, and sounds as good as any Tele you're likely to find hangin' on the wall at the brick and mortar stores. If you take one for a spin I think you'll agree.

.I bought this guitar with the intention of modding it and making it better. I was stoked when i got it because it played good and sounded good, but after putting in some new pickups and tweaking a few other things its an amazing guitar. It rivals my american standard now. Classic Vibe is great for people looking for a guitar to mod

.I usually only buy high-end guitars; I own two Eric Clapton Stratocasters, which I believe are the best guitars made. However, I got bored one day and ordered one of these after playing my twin brother's and reading all of the reviews, and I fell in love with it. It is light, easy to play, and sounds great amplified OR acoustic, which is nice considering I have a new baby in the house. Can't say enough about this thing. Probably the best tele I've ever played, American, Mexican, or otherwise. Buy one now--you've seen the reviews, and I must say they weren't lying!

.After reading great things about this guitar I picked one up in a local gtr shop thinking "this can't be that good". It was not just good but great. Fantastic neck, stayed in tune, great tone plugged into a Fender Deluxe Reverb that I used. My jaw hit the floor to be honest. Right out of the box I was able to rehearse with this (no setup yet). Compared to my MIM Tele it blew it away...and that had a Glendale Bridge and Lollar pickups installed in it. The bridge could maybe be upgraded to something better, but it's getting the job done. The pickups I actually really liked the sound of and I'm torn if I should bother replacing them. If you want an absolute steal this is the guitar. Sweet chime, sustain and punch...easy to play and stays in tune better than some American models I've owned!!! Get over the logo and enjoy!

.I bought one of these and am very impressed. The guitar is very well made. The pickups are just great. I have a CV 50's Tele and I replaced the pickups with Fender Original Vintage. I honestly can't tell the difference and I play 4 hours a day. The Custom body being semi hollow actually gives it a rounder and silkier sound. There are no dead spots and its light as a feather. It's as good if not better than the Fender. The one area that has to be changed is the bridge. The saddles are cheap pot metal. I had a set of full size brass saddles to put on and what a difference. Rock solid tone. You can replace the pots and switch but I didn't bother. The standard parts are fine.
Buy this guitar and play till it hurts. You will not be sorry

.I have this guitar at my remote work site. I was expecting it to be a serviceable axe. It turned out so much better than I expected.
I have a lot of guitars, both electric and acoustic. This guitar just makes me smile every time I play it. It is light, has a really good neck, very nice pickups, the intonation and action were right straight out of the box. These Classic Vibe Squiers are so much fun to play and anyone can afford them. The only change I intend to make is to replace the bridge with a Joe Barden upgrade. It's not that the stock bridge is bad but I had the Barden and it will make a sweet axe even sweeter. Usually I would replace the pickups with DiMarzio's but these sound fine. Rumor is they are identical to Toneriders.
Fit and finish are very good.
You really can't believe the quality for the price.
