I always wanted a Tele Deluxe, so I thought I'd try this one, for the price.It doesn't have the neck-tilt adjustment or the three bolt neck like the originals, but that's not a big deal to me, if the guitar sets up well.
This played good out of the box, though I lowered the action a bit. It didn't get Les Paul low, but low enough.
It has a thick, 50's Les Paul-ish neck. The original Deluxes had a C shape, and this does, too.
The pickups are louder and not as bright as a regular Tele, but they are Humbuckings, not single coil Teles. The rhythm p/u is darker than I like, but they were going for a Gibson vibe when they made the originals. These are not, of course, the original Deluxe p/u's, but I read you can brighten them somewnat by putting in 500K pots instead of the 250ks.
Well, it plays, sounds (humbucker-wise) and seems solid. A good less expensive alternative to the other Deluxes offered.
Made in Indonesia, but I have an Ibanez Swingster, too, and it's a solid, impressive guitar. By the way, I have three other Teles, all Made in Japan, so I am Tele player, mostly.

.Like the title says, I love this guitar. Albeit, it had to grow on me at first. I've had it for about a year now, but I appreciate it more and more as time goes on.
I own a Strat, two standard Teles, a really good Gibson 335 copy and this guitar, which is my favorite of the lot. Not only is it beautiful, but it feels really great and plays very, very well. It has the best neck I've ever played on. The necks standard 'C' shape fits my large hands perfectly and is a really nice contour to hold.
The black paint job on this guitar is absolutely flawless as is the high gloss finish on the neck. After I waxed and polished it, as I do with all my guitars, it just shines like a show car. I changed out the black pick guard for a pearl one and the guitar looks absolutely gorgeous.
There were, however, some things that I did not like and I modified the guitar to make it even better and more personal. The tone controls that came with the guitar were a cheap looking plastic and I swapped them out for authentic Fender amp knobs. Also, as another reviewer did, I swapped out the standard Fender style bridge saddles for the solid modern ones. I've never liked the screws sticking out of the saddles because you can't rest your palm on them without getting scraped. The solid saddles allow you to use
shorter saddle screws that don't stick out.
The biggest thing that I didn't like was the pickups. At first. For the longest time, I couldn't get a satisfying tone from them. It wasn't until I did some serious mods to my amp, that I really appreciated them for what they are. Now I find that they are super versatile and will cover a wide range of genres. I guess what I'm saying is that, with the right amp, this guitar is excellent. I find that it sounds great with Fender type amps especially, but would probably sound good with any good tube amp. The pickups are just the right combination of warm and bright tones that they are very well balanced, and give the guitar it's excellent versatility and tone.
If you have the chance, try one out before you buy. You could always buy one from MF and send it back if it's not to your liking, but I doubt that you'll be disappointed. Good luck!

.I did not expect a 12in radius to feel different. it does. The thick neck and flatter fretboard are wonderful. It feels like a Gibson profile with a longer Fender scale.
The separate volume and tone are awesome. you can really just set it up and use the switch instead of riding the volume like other fender setups.
I should have had this years ago.
The pickups are good, nothing special about them.
Also, My tele has a slight divot in the top surface that looks like a finished-over imperfection. how about some bondo and a block before the all black plastic finish goes on?
I love this thing. I'd like it in 3 different colors, and maybe wire in pull pots with splits and phase.

.This is a great Telecaster no matter what the headstock says on it. I like it as much as my MIM Fender tele deluxe . The Fender wide range humbuckers are strong and sound amazing through my Tube amps. I love the neck 12-radius Super comfortable in the hand.I am long time fan of Fender and Squier guitars. I have owned many since the 1980's . I have gigged my self modded squiers for years but now a days Squier mods the guitar for you straight out of the factory.
I bought the black version and it is a beautiful guitar.

.If your reading this review your probably already thinking about buying it. stop thinking just buy it.
mine was set up very well. but it had 9s on it. so after i put 10s i had to set the intonation. i also adjusted the action and pickup height to my liking. gave it a good set up. the only downside i can find is the switch and pots. shame shame squier. thats what stops it from being a five star guitar. the pickups kick butt.. but there scratchy little pots and the pickup selector is in the weird little box... But after you switch those out. something im about to do. it should hold its own with any pro level guitar. but overall i love the sound of it. i cant describe it. its sexy. smooth and rich. once it gets the new guts.. wow. its thicker than a normal tele and thinner than a les paul in tone. really versatile. name a type of music and this can do it.

.This guitar is simply amazing. I bought one of these 6 months ago and it's easily become my favorite guitar. Sounds great, plays great, looks great, never goes out of tune AND is affordable. Squier hit it out of the park with this guitar. The humbuckers rock hard. Don't waste your money on spending more for the Fender name. This guitar is just as good if not better than the Fender tele's.

.I love the Squier line --- solid instruments, great prices. I'm mostly a drummer by trade, but I love to dabble with other instruments on the side. Not accomplished enough (guitar wise) to warrant spending a lot on something that I'm basically going to noodle around with at the house. This is my second Squier guitar (the first is a M80 that I just love). This one doesn't have the 'bite' that my M80 does and that's just fine with me -- I was looking for something with a cleaner, warmer tone and this fits the bill perfectly. Plays great, sounds great and is priced great. What more can you ask for??

.I have owned several Guitars including Les Pauls, Strats, Jags, SG's and this guitar is right up there with all of them. It is fun to play and has a great feel. I did change the string guides to solid ones for better sustain. I would recommend this guitar to anyone.

.Had 2- of them sent to me. First one had a couple flaws with dust in the paint and 2- missing pickguard screws. Must have been a Friday at close to quitting time built guitar. A stock???-Don't think so! Sent it back and received new one-Much better this time. Both guitars were setup nicely with no sharp ends and slick smoothly polished frets Low action with nice sustain and great feeling chunky C- neck with nicely cut nut. Super comfortable to play. The quality easily equals the Fender at over twice the price for a name on a headstock. The reviews for this are right on if you get a good one. MF customer service came through with the exchange a week and a half later, Just wish warehouse could check it before its shipped to avoid sending a dud to begin with. Happy now with the 2nd one, It's a keeper!!! Good luck!!!
