Sadly, we lefties don't have a lot of options, especially in the Squier/Fender family of bass guitars. Thankfully, this is a wonderful instrument.

I've had this version since Sept 2013, and love it. Put some GHS flatwound strings on it, and it has great output to it, and with both pups dialed in, lots of deep thump. With a great setup, you got yourself a great bass for a very affordable price.

I was lucky to have an impeccable 2-piece body matched up (you only see the seam slightly on the back and at the bolt-on neck joint. Although the neck on this version is high gloss, it doesn't feel sticky or grabby like it does on the Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazz bass.

My only complaint is the tone knob, although that could simply be my particular bass. It works more like a switch rather than a knob, which certainly isn't a deal-breaker for me, since I use this thing primarily for practice and recording. Live gigs might be another matter, but it's a relatively cheap fix to make, if you know where to look for a new loaded control plate and do it yourself.

The pups sounds fantastic, and compared to an earlier version with the Duncan Designed ones, these are a little hotter, meaning more bottom end. I was originally tempted to mod this thing, but frankly, everything stock on this thing is perfect the way it is.

Get it, fellow lefties. I've tried MiMs, and these babies are as good if not better, and they are on average a few hundred cheaper. To do better than these, you'd have to buy a MiA or a CiJ Jazz. Don't worry if it's really a P-bass you want, this baby can deliver lots of punch, presence and low-end if you want to.

.Great looking and nice to play but poor quality on the pickups......the screws were not screwed down on the pickups and one screw is up and can't be screwed down. Also, thought it would have been tuned from factory but two strings were way off....way off! Bringing it to my local guitar shop to check it out since it is a Christmas gift. Hopefully this helps out for future purchases going forward.

.I've always wanted a natural finish left-handed Jazz bass with a black pickguard. The Fender models only have a white pickguard, so I got this one. I am beyond delighted with it. All the trim is gorgeous, the feel is great, the sound is great. Being able to blend the pickups or only use one give me tons of options for tone. Love it

.After a good set up and it didn't need much. Just adjust the intonation on the bridge and string height. Neck relief, string height at nut and pickups height were in perfect position. Pickup are really quiet and the construction is flowless. I pick this bass and it wants to be slapped. The tone is perfect for slapped and pull it does it so easy and it has plenty of output.
