I buy Bullets for mods so I play original set up just to check but it always give a decent enough sound and tone. Bullets used to have sharp fret edges but it has been improved in past few years.

1) Some screw hole positions are a little off and angled. Sometimes too close to the body cavity. I bothers me and I fix them but it does not affect playabilities.
2) MF description says tunes are "Die-Cast". It is incorrect. It is "Covered Tuners" like all other Squire Bullets.
3) Tunes works and stay in tune OK. But turning/adjusting torque is not consistent. This is first thing I replace. Enlarge tuner holes to 10mm diameter and you will have a lot of choices in tuners.
4) Squire bodies are thinner than standard Fender models. It is still well balanced on a strap and its lighter weight is a big help for long gig. The body weight varies from one to the other.
5) Body paint is good. Some basswood bodies were a little too soft and needs attention not to strip hole threads. I do not see any difference in tone and sound from other wood material.
6) All hardware and electric are good and do the job.
7) Truss rod works
8) Some minor fret buzz. I am suspecting nut set up.

.I purchased this as my first guitar. The guitar was packaged very well and everything was intact. I had to tune every time I picked it up for the first couple of days but since then it has stayed in tune very well only slightly out on the low E and A string. The action was just a tad high but easily adjusted and the intonation is dead on. I did not have to touch the truss rod at all! I will be putting ernie ball strings on and possibly some locking tuners in the future. The finish is very nice and I have only found one small blemish but the light has to hit just right to even see it, once it has fingerprints on it you don't notice anyway.

.A fun guitar for beginning and novice guitarists or just an older guy like me who has been playing for a lot of years, has a lot of guitars, and wanted something new without going broke over it. The frets were finished nicely, and once set up, the action is low with no fret buzz. Tuners are ok, pickups are weak but at this price point, you have to expect that. I play at home or with friends, so it's not like I'm going to gig with it. The finish is very nice and the look of the guitar is just slick. Overall, a great playing guitar that is cheap enough to be an impulse purchase!

.My daughter loves this guitar! She has only played an acoustic prior to getting this, and was able to pick it up and play beautifully!

.I bought this as a starter guitar for my 4 year grandson. After spending some time on the setup, (neck truss rod and bridge setup). I was able to get a decent action on it. After spending time jamming on it I decided to keep it for myself as a knock around guitar, one I can throw around and still have fun with. Definitely worth the price.

.This guitar stays at work for jamming in my off time. I can't believe how well this guitar was set up right out of the box. Low action with no buzz, really decent electronics, and definitely a tone that goes well beyond the expectations of a beginner-priced guitar. The humbucker sounds a little "thin", but the neck pickup has the classic bluesy sound that you expect from a guitar of this style. All in all, I would recommend this guitar to someone just starting out. It stays in tune, the intonation is good, and the fit and finish better than expected.

.Overall the quality is really good for the money. The neck feels good, the pickups are not bad for what you're paying and right out of the box it played well. the biggest downer on this guitar is the tuners, they really are garbage. I bought a new set of tuners and replaced them but be aware, you have to drill out the holes for a set of decent tuners to fit. The frets are a little rough and the first fret is a little too low and not playable so definitely needs some neck work. Bottom line, the first thing this guitar needs out of the box is a new set of tuners and the frets dressed. For the cost having the work done, you may as well put that money towards a better guitar. So unfortunately I would say pass on this guitar and spend a little more money. Which is a bummer because as I said, it does feel and play good.

.I have played Bass for over 40 years, and always wanted to switch to regular guitar. Saw this one and for the price couldn't pass it up. Being new to 2 string I will admit the first fret bottom strings are killer on my fingers but if I add capo, anything on the bottom strings is not as rough on them. I am currently running it through a cheap Fender 10 Watt and for a beginner, the tone and sound are pretty good. I am looking forward to getting to be an accomplished player and for the price this one will work for a long time.
