After seeing and playing my brothers Squier Infinity Strat and discovering first hand its virtues, I decided to upgrade to one from my older Bullet Strat. Until then, I didn't realize just how different the two were and how ready I was for the Affinity advantage. I ordered the HSS (fat) in Candy Apple Red which is truly stunning to me, it's looks have impressed my friends (and brother) even more then their own guitars have. The tuners are without slop or slip, sturdy cast construction and permanently lubricated rather then the stamped versions which require lube occasionally like my Bullet had. The tremolo operates far smoother, way deeper and holds tune much better. The body is thinner, lighter, more sculpted and has a deeper cutaway. The neck has a satiny smooth finish, when combined with its improved shape, allows me to play sequences which were just on the fringe of my prior skill set, until now. My brothers Affinity was with the three standard pickups and 10 watt amp package. The Frontman 15 watt amp which came with mine was another decided advantage over his. In addition to one unaffected channel, mine also has a drive channel which, at low, adds sustain or set hi gives that bright lead blast, (a small panel mounted switch alternates the single input from one channel to the other) or get even more of a blast with the Humbucker switched on. My 15 also has a three band equalizer rather then the two band on the 10 and I have an 8 inch speaker rather then the 10's 6 inch one.I like the gig bag case because, although constructed with thin (albeit tough) unpadded fabric, it fits perfectly without sags and the back strap removes completely for simple carry without the straps hanging sloppily loose and catching onto things. The cord was way better then I expected, similar to my blue ended one, the tuner works great and the strap? It's a strap.
This guitar alone is, in my opinion for all the reasons I've addressed, is easily worth far more then Custom Guitars Friend charges for the HSS ensemble over the standard Affinity ensemble, which in itself is an awesome deal! The Frontman 15 amp is, in my opinion, easily more worthwhile then the Frontman 10. Then.... Custom Guitars Friend shipped the all in one, well packaged carton for over a thousand miles, to me, for free! I have no idea how any of the businesses involved in the offering of this incredible package deal... made a red cent.

.I think this is a great guitar package for this price. The guitar is easy playing and puts out some great sounds. The amp is very small but definitely is beyond adequate for filling up a good size room, and is great for practicing. The finish on the body is beautiful, but I wish they would have put a couple more coats on the head stock. That detracts from it looks, but is a very minor complaint. The tuner works fine although obviously a cheapo one. I like how it lights up green when the string is tuned. There was no owners manual for the guitar--you have to search on line for that. Seems like they could have at least included a one sheet diagram showing all the parts and controls. All in all for this price, this package is a great buy.

.was surprised with this guitar packet for the price; it was an open box and as the ad stated in execellant condition. After tuning it and setting up the amp; the action was great right out of the box. Have not had to make any adjustments at present.
Was surprised at the range of the small practice amp. It really puts out!! The tuner is OK...like my Snorkel better.

.Middle age guy and i finally decide that maybe i can still learn to play the guitar.?. Guitar playing co-worker of mine turned me on to M/F and encouraged me to pull the trigger on a guitar. Glad he did. To my novice eye this guitar is excellent, and seems to be very well made. Amp seems to be well made too. Funny because I have read quite a few reviews that mention the poor quality of the cord and you know what?, The plug on one end of mine is wobbly and cuts out once in a while. Overall very happy with the package.
