What do you think of when we say ElectroHarmonix? FUZZ. Or at least that's what you should think of. EHX makes great and legendary fuzz tones ranging from lo-fi vintage to high-gain modern-metal madness. And the Satisfaction falls into a category all its own.
They re-create the classic fuzz for today's player, only now it has convenient true bypass circuitry, so when you want fuzz you've got it and when you don't, it's not sending hum through your chain. The Satisfaction Fuzz features a simple, straight-forward, two-knob layout with controls for Volume and Attack (fuzz).
True to its fuzzy brethren, this classically-voiced fuzz creates a wide birth of gritty goodness. Its sound that is anything but subtle and goes from an aggressive rasp to full-on fuzzed-out mayhem!

FINALLY a FUZZ pedal with that 65-66 fuzz sound! For decades I've searched, and tried, numerous, so called "fuzz" pedals; they sounded similar to my distortion control on my amp (or distortion pedal). Nothing like the fuzz I was searching for. I was a crazy man: "If a man can walk on the moon, why can't I get a fuzz pedal that sounds like 1965?!!!" This pedal is the closest you'll ever get to that original fuzz sound that started a "fuzz revolution"; -- the louder the better -- you'll swear it's Keith playing "Satisfaction" -- but it'll be YOU! Very happy with this pedal. "I've got a fuzz box and I'm not afraid to use it!"Electro-Harmonix Satisfaction Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal
.This is a great fuzz pedal, finally found the sound I have been looking for for years. At first I was a bit disappointed, it seemed that it wasnt really adding fuzz, more giving me dirty signal more girth. I eventually cleaned up my dry signal and got the dirty electric razor sound I was looking for. The fuzz control works as you would imagine that it would, but the volume control doesnt really add volum after 9 oclock. Turning it past nine seems to add more sustain and give your low end back, giving a heavier, fuller sound. Definately meets all my fuzz needs, from a heavy Sabbathian sound (volume all the way up), to dirty sixties garage rock (volume around 10 oclock.) If you're tired of the generic pi fuzz sound get one of these for sure.

.This is just what I was looking for. I have many fuzz pedals and most of them are splatty, distorted, over the top dirt boxes. I wanted a pedal that I could easily dial in a classic '60s fuzz tone similar to the Maestro FZ-1A and this is it. The nano size lets it fit easily on pedalboards and it has just two controls, Volume and Attack. The demo video from Electro-Harmonix convinced me to give it a try. It does the "Satisfaction" and "American Woman" things as advertised with some tweaking of the pedal knobs and the guitar's tone controls. I was dialing in Iron Butterfly and "Crimson & Clover"-era Shondells tones as well as contemporary Neo-Psychedelic sounds from Tame Impala and the Black Hollies. This is real fuzz, not heavy distortion so hard rockers and metalheads might want to look for something else.
I've got a lot of pedals, but surprisingly, this is my first from EHX. These guys seem to be putting out a lot of great pedals lately and at really attractive prices. This pedal even comes with a battery! Now I'm on the waiting list for their Soul Food overdrive, but that's for another review.

.This really gets the song tone. Now all I want to play on it is that song, but it can probably do others - just why would you need more than one song?

.Sounds just like the famous opening (and repeating) riff on the Stones' song. Something I've been looking for ages.

.I love this thing. If you're looking for that classic '60s fuzz sound as in the the type in the song this pedal gets its name from this is the pedal to do it. When I think of fuzz that is what I'm thinking of and any pedal I ever tried did not sound like that. EHX nailed it with this one. And although it has that classic sound, it is 21st century technology. It's built solid and the true bypass circuitry keeps the signal clean. I almost put that it only does one thing as a con but I don't really consider that a con. It does what it's supposed to do and it does it well. That's how I like my effects... simple and straightforward. I just wanna play and not have to punch through 100 different effects. Works for me!

.An old school fuzz. Plus it's cheap, small and simple to use. Not for metal dudes. It's that "Blues Theme" sound, not versatile at all, it does one thing and it does it well.

.If youre looking for a fuzz pedal that will make your amp sound like it's about to blow up, this pedal isn't it. I have to turn the treble down all the way on my amp, (clean channel) otherwise the sound is intolerable. Also (with the pedal disengaged)if I want to use my amp's distortion the pedal makes alot of line noise.
The pedal is not completely useless however it's not completely useful.

.This is less of a distortion pedal and more of an extreme treble booster. It cuts out all the bass, alot of the lower mids and turns the high end up to 10. Even with the treble and presence on my amp lowered and the mids, bass and resonance turned up, it still sounded harsh. I returned it the next day. I was looking for a harsh lo fi fuzz, but this thing is harsh and lo fi to an extreme. Lowering the gain didn't help much. Your better off getting any other classic fuzz pedal like the Maestro, which this is somewhat based on.

.Great little fuzz. Not a balls to the wall fuzz like DBA but it is a nice welcomed change. Very Nice for leads and rhythm but when coupled with your favorite overdrive the pedal exudes a nice warm harmonic fuzz and it is quite pleasing. You have to have patience to mess with it. At first I cranked the attack which is supposed to be the level of fuzz and I was like thats it? That's all the juice? Then I raised the volume which is not just a volume level but more like an overdrive level. A very nice distortion without any reverb which is what I am always looking for. Metal guys will probably not like it unless they are soloing or looking for a different sound as well. Don't expect this thing to be hairy, it is just a subtle harmonic distortion generator, But I see this thing caching on because it is just 50 bones, a freakin steal.
