.The right slide is a personal thing that can only be found by trying it out. I own slides made from glass, ceramic, brass, and chrome steel. This is a very nice thick ceramic slide. ¾ inch ID x 1 ¼ inch OD x 2 3/4 inch long. It's a little too big for me. I do like the ceramic flavor in the sound.

Why? They break when you drop them on to a tile floor.
