These strings have a very full sound from the low E to the high E. They are great for a good growl with distortion and for sad music on clean settings.Dunlop Heavy Core Electric Guitar Strings Heaviest 6-Pack
.First experience with dunlop strings, but they really do rock for down tuning.
The "GBE" strings are one gage heavier and the "EAD" strings are one lighter than the custom set used by a certain guitar player in a band that rhymes with ripknot. So they do drop tuning awesome.
Can't say they last a really long time cause I haven't had them for very long. But I'll say that I went back and bought a six pack after putting on the first single set I bought.
If you buy the six packs, you can't really beat the price.

.If your looking for that big FAT Strat tone, or want to beef it up with a Les Paul, these strings will get you in the tonal range you are looking for. They stay in tune better, I guess due to the heavy core, and they last longer to which is a plus!
Six pack of strings each pack is sealed to keep your strings fresh, which is a feature I really like.
I am four packs into my first six pack box and have yet to break a string. They seem to wear very well, and keep their tome. I was using 10's for years, but wanted to beef up my tone. I mostly play stratocasters, and love the big FAT tone these strings have given me. I also tune down a half step which really helps that fat tone. If you like the Hendrix/SRV tones will get you closer. I mostly play clean, and they are very sweet, or add a TS9 and and your right there in tone heaven.
I also put a set on Les Paul and was very happy with the feel and tone cranked through a Marshall.
They are a good value for the money

.For the price, I recommend these. I play them tuned down to BF#BEG#C#, and they sound great. In practice mode, the same set has been on my Ibanez for three months with no breakages. I clean my strings after each use, and noticed they'd lost that new-string sparkle after about 20 hours of play time over four weeks. Not bad, but not quite the best I've used in that respect. Overall, I will probably keep using these and have recommended them to other players.
