The Classic Dunlop Blues Bottle slide will take you back to pre-Depression Mississippi, where blues masters used medicine-bottle slides to form the roots of modern day blues. I've had quite a few bottle slides in my 17 years of playing and this is buy far the best! The weight is perfect, the size is great, the tone is great and most importantly, it's SEAMLESS! There are no friggin' seams running up the sides to ruin your sustain! All the other bottle slides I've used have had this problem! I used the heavy / large size and found it to be very comfortable. I do not have big hands ( I'm 5'8" ). I"m gonna order one every color!

.I first purchased the Cobalt Blue slide, and I love it. The pyrex is much smoother and more dense that a Coricidan bottle. I was at the local open mike night when the issue of the different colors having different tone was discussed. So I ordered both the Red and Yellow. Now I can't put words to it, but they are different in some way that can be heard. My wife knew when I switched from Yellow to Red. It is subtle, but it can be heard. I got so curious I checked with a friend who blows glass as a hobby. His thought is the pyrex working temp. while blowing are different due to the chemicals added for the colors. Thus you have the brilliant sound of the Yellow slide (my favorite), the very much rounder and somewhat darker tone of the Red slide, with the Blue falling in the center. Don't believe me? Try it. I find I use the Yellow on my Gretsch Boxcar round neck, and I like the Blue on my Regal RD-40. I use the Red one on both. I also noticed the bottom of the bottles are not the same thickness. The thickness I think relates to sustain. Anyway, I've decided to order 3 more to see if I get a different bottom thickness from the ones I have in the same color. If the two yellows sound different and have a different bottom thickness, well then, I may be wrong in saying it depends on color. So, check back in a couple of weeks and I'll let you know......

.There is no size information on the website. I returned this slide. It is too big for my pinky and was too small for ring finger. Since it is a bottle I couldn't slide it all the way down my finger either. I think it might be hard to explain how these fit to potential buyers but they need to have something. It looked cool. If I wanted to eat the money I spent I would have kept it. As it was I had to pay to ship it back.
