Product Features

A unique combination of crisp highs, aggressive mids, and a focused low end gives Dunlop electric guitar strings a voice all their own. The Dunlop recipe for string-to-string balance and responsiveness produces string sets that are perfect for dynamic lead work, while notes in a guitar chord ring out clearly whether clean or heavily distorted. This powerful voice is delivered in these low-tension nickel plated steel guitar strings with a smooth tactile feel that break in fast and last a long time.

I picked these up after trying many different brands. My band plays half a step down and it was hard to find a string that sounded good in this gauge. I tried Ernie Ball, they were too bright, I liked DR until I noticed inconsistency in the strings, a lot of times not intonating properly. These have just the right tone, intonate perfectly, and I haven't broken one yet. Can't ask for much more.

.I bought these on a whim one day. I can't explain just how great these strings really are. They have a unique voicing that really compliments my guitar's natural tone. I have used many, MANY brands of strings, as well as many gauges, but these strings are by far my favorites to date. For being relatively new to the string-making game, Dunlop nailed it with these. Fantastic tone, strong, long-lasting, and overall great feel. I switched to these after spending too much time and money on the DR High Voltage Dimebag Darrell set. These sound better, last just as long, and cost three dollars less per pack. Give them a shot, you'll like what Dunlop has going!

.I've been using these and the 10-52 slinkys for over a year and if your looking for a good string for metal these get the job done, I use these in mostly standard tuning and they have a slightly more modern sound than the slinkys and seem to last a little longer. If you are trying out diff brands of this thickness I would try these first before others.

.I use these on several different guitars ESP, Gibson and Fender and have been happy in all cases. I believe these strings sound good, last a reasonable time, are resistant to breakage and are reasonably priced. I like the heavy bottom because I believe it gives a tighter low end when hitting chords without affecting play-ability. I think the wound strings have a nice snap to them, not dull. In my opinion the heavier the string the better they sound, but obviously you have got to be comfortable bending and ease of play. My compromise is the 10-52. 6 packs save you some money. I have been playing for a long time and have tried many different types of strings.

.I Had My Guitar SetUp Today With This Set, And I Can't Believe How Much Tone Are In These. They Were Just What I Was Looking For. Bright, Alot Of Punch, and Smooth. The Plain Strings Are Not Too Thin or Slinky, And The Wound Strings Are Tight and Beefy. They Don't Feel Un-Balanced Like Other Light Top/Heavy Bottom Sets I Have Tried. Perfect For Drop Tuning. I Have Them On An Prestige Ibanez FR, Tuned To Drop C# With Seymour Duncans.
