Good product but PLEASE do NOT squeeze the bottle too hard when trying to start the oil flowing through the felt-tipped top. The top might go rocketing across the room leaving a trail of greasy, citrus mess across your ottoman and carpet ...err, not that that happened to me, I'm not that stupid :o(Dunlop Fretboard 65 Ultimate Lemon Oil
.This stuff is the greatest product since sliced bread. I have now used this lemon oil on a wide variety of fretboards and bridges (guitars/resonators/mandolin) and it works fantastic. Refreshes the oils and makes the wood look better and play better.
Two words of caution, however: (1) Do not use on maple boards; and (2) only apply twice a year otherwise your frets could pop out.

.Using this for the first time was very frustrating. I couldn't get any oil to come out of the applicator. Only tiny amounts were coming. I squeezed and squeezed until it blew open, dumping oil all over my guitar and carpet, also splattering on the walls. However, it did clean and darken my rosewood fretboard very well. I never realized how nasty it was until I looked at the rag. Just be careful when trying to wick the applicator, don't know if I just got a wierd one or what. I spent prolly 5 minutes of lightly squeezing that bottle to try and get it to wick.. then i tried a little harder, big mistake oops.

.Overall, this is a very good product and easy to apply. There are some vids on YouTube and it sounds like a lot of people were happy too.
This works great on my Black Strat, as I was a little concerned about what to use on the fretboard. I read the reviews here and ordered a bottle. Couldn't be happier. Just make sure you use an extremely soft cloth. Preferably, an old diaper, but hey those are hard to find these days...
No issues here. Just take your time when using the product.
Great value for what it does.

.I should have read (and heeded) the advice of previous reviewers Go White Sox! and Luke regarding the applicator tip. Managed to bathe myself, the guitar, kitchen table, kitchen floor, and couple magazines in about half the bottle of this stuff when the tip rocketed out of the bottle. Do yourself a favor and take a pair of slip-joint pliers, twist that sucker out of there (carefully), and throw it in the trash. That leaves you free to dip q-tips in the bottle or put some on a cloth easily. Speaking of which, try to avoid paper towels or anything else that might generate lint/fibers. Synthetic gun-cleaning patches work well and are a good size for the task. Aside from my choice expletives for the applicator tip, the product works as intended.

. Works just fine. Cleaned off my rosewood fretboard and really made it look great. Just take care to use it as directed - a little goes a long way. Considering that this bottle should last for years, it's a great value.

.If you've never used a lemon oil on your fretboard, do yourself a favor, and add this to your next order. Cleans and conditions verrrry well. Very nice applicator on bottle. And a little bit really does go a long way, so you won't run out anytime soon. For 5 bucks, you won't find something comparable for much cheaper. Does a nice job on rosewood bridges too.

.Absolute best way to contain, and use lemon oil on the fretboard.
I recently got a bottle of Fretboard 65 Ultimate Lemon Oil for my guitars. I wish I'd discovered this product a long time ago. So far, I've cleaned and restrung 4 guitars with it. Each one smells and plays like new again. I especially like the built in applicator, and the lemon smell eliminates the yucky one from previous frequent playing very well. Perfect product for what used to be a thankless job.
Top quality, and very easy to use. Just remember that cotton plug in the top doesn't come out. Just shake the bottle and roll the plug over the surface of the fretboard until lemon oil starts filtering through.
Every guitar player needs a bottle of this. Period.

.Restores fretboard to looking like new.
I have been using this lemon oil on my rosewood / ebony fretboard for some time now and this wasn't my first bottle. This stuff work fantastic and restores the fretboard to almost new condition, or it looks new anyways. Great maintenance type accessory for your guitars, use it every time you change out strings. The only problem with it can see is that the applicator pad takes a while to get wet enough to apply it.
