I have owned a pair of these for over 4 yrs. and they still sound just as good as the day I bought them! We've used them as mains for a band, running the vocals, and man are they great! Loud clear vocals without much eq. We get less feedback from these than others we've tried (great as monitors too). The majority of their use has been music playback,(Dj-ing indoors and outdoors) and they have always been trouble free! Use a BBE and it really opens the full potential of these speakers, great highs (titanium) and tight mid/lows! You can definately get these speakers blaringly loud, and we've never had the protection dim out the sound. We do use a pair of powered 18" subs that cover all the low. But then using just for vocals, and even playback they are more than adequate, for any environment! They are printed 600 watts peak on the back label, FYI.

.I have four of these guys, six if you want to count monitors. Bigger rooms require a sub naturally but they are accurate and clear. always have liked 12's better than 15's for a live band as they reproduce vocals better. One of the monitors is 12 years old and still fine. The newest ones are six years old, still fine as well. Believe me these are all you need, spend the extra money you would have spent on JBL's on great power, you will be all set.

.I have a pair of these and a EMX 88S powered mixer. The combination is great. Crystal clear sound. Lets face it, when you are looking at PA speakers, they are rediculously expensive. These are the best value I could find. The BR 15's would have been nice but then I wouldnt have been able to get my whole system and instruments into my little Honda. Luckily I got big sound in a small package.

.I picked up a pair of these for a larger club venue (small monitors for a small room @ the bar). I set these up along with my Mackie C300's and a set of EV 12in speakers and was pleased with the sound of the but once I tested them against the other, I didn't have the same positive feeling. The midi?s & Low's were great but the high end was not very clear at all. (Compared to the other speakers) I ended up returning the speakers only because I am really picky about the sound quality, and picked up a pair of JBL JRX112M's. I am picking up the new speakers tonight so I'll put a review on them once I get to fully test them out.

.I'm in a metal band, and we needed a sound system for purely vocals, and we were worried when we bought it that it wouldn't be louder than drums in a small room, but rest assured, it is. these babies and really pump out the sound!! if you're doing small gigs are just using them for practice, they work amazingly, I would advise some monitors though.

.I bought four of the BR12's at a very good discount. There are four things I admire about it:--solid construction. The carpeted wooden box and grill won't rattle if you give it bass. Also, I've used the BR12's for almost a whole year now, and nothing has gone wrong.-- is truthful about the specs. The handling truly is 300watts/600watts peak, so long as you make sure that the signal is 65Hz and above (which is stated in the specs). I used to allow the BR12's to play 30Hz, but at lower volume so as to not hurt the woofers.--you can have good highs (12kHz and above) so long as you employ EQ.--MOST IMPORTANTLY, 's customer service was very good. I emailed about upgrading the woofer; although officially does not condone modifications, the service dude gave me all the necessary specs on the original woofer that I requested.

.I use these in a bar tha holds 200 people. I also have a BR15, and I run them on a Peavey CS400. I run them every weekend, Friday and Saturday, for at least 6 hours straight. The highs have a tendency to drop out quite frequently, due to the built in protection mechanism. If I had to do it again, I would look for a slightly stronger speaker. I'm going to add another BR15 and maybe that should do the trick.

.I have owned a pair of these for about 4 years. I was driving them with a Behringer PMH 2000 Primarily and the sound was very good although low end is a little weak. In the time that I have owned these I have run them for 3 days nonstop at a Biker Party at Very High SPL most of the time, overdriven them with a QSC USA 1300 and other Torture most would never put their speaker through and these things are Tough! I recently purchased a QSC GX3 amp to power them as I have upgraded from the PMH 2000 and they have never sounded Better. I would Recomend them to anyone who needs Strong Reliable Sound. If you are playing for more than 50 pepole I would recomend a sub to fill the bottom end But for 12" Speakers these things ROCK!!

.I own a pair of these and use them with the EMX-66 powered mixer. This is a great, simple setup with good output, crystal clear sound absolutely no buzz, hum, or other noise in the system. The system is absolutely silent when powered up. I have used the setup for rooms of about 250 people (at tables and chairs). Anything larger than that would require 2 more BR-12's.

.These sound really great. I own 2 and power them with an old and clunky Peavey 8.5C and they sound fantastic. Just all around nice sound. Very well built also. I would also like to add that despite this site saying they are 250/500 program/peak, the back of the speaker indicates 300/600.
