The Washburn WD100DL is a steel string acoustic guitar that features a mahogany top and dreadnought size, making it ideal for both practice and performance.
Mahogany is dark-colored wood that, when used as a guitar soundboard, creates a warm, full tone with a character all its own. The WD100DL also features mahogany back and sides that further help to balance out the powerful low- and high-end inherent to the dreadnought body shape. The result is a sound that's both pleasing and loud enough to be heard in small venue without amplification.
The Washburn WD100DL has a full-length 25-1/2" mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard. Other appointments include a rosewood bridge, vintage style headstock, die-cast tuners, and a gig bag.
*Note: Restock version does not have Washburn flower logo on headstock.

talk about bang for the buck--i've been a washburn convert since '05, when i picked up an ea8f. have since acquired two more, this wd100dl being the most recent. ironically, it's not only the least expensive, it's the best of 'em all. i changed strings & bridge pins, lowered action about a hair, and BAM! perfect intonation, booming lows, lilting highs, and ideal action for a somewhat hard picker like myself.i'm real anxious to see if it improves with age as the others have. a truly amazing bargain!Washburn WD100DL Dreadnought Mahogany Acoustic Guitar Black
.Overall, this is a nice guitar. It will need setup upon arrival; if you are a beginner player or not experienced enough, PLEASE take this to a local guitar shop to get set up. The neck on mine had WAY too much tension, so I loosened it up. The guitar also arrived slightly over-humidified, but that's better than it being overly dry and cracked.
Besides the required work needed to be done on it, I also did some optional work; just my personal preferences. I personally think this guitar looks great, but the gloss finish ruins everything. So I bought a can of Rustoleum Clear Matte Finish spray paint, removed the strings, pickguard (the pickguard was also misplaced on the guitar compared to the preview picture on the website), and hardware, and sprayed away...now it looks amazing! (In this review are the before and after pics - before pic is straight out of the box.) I also installed a strap button and restrung it with Martin medium-weight Phosphor Bronze strings; two more things beginners should take to a guitar shop to get done if they wish to do so.
Comparing this guitar to my old Yamaha F325, my only complaint is that playing/shifting positions is not as smooth; especially with the gloss finish. Then again, however, I've had my Yamaha for about 4 years, and my Washburn for a few days now. I look forward to seeing how my relationship with my Washburn guitar evolves!

This guitar is certainly the best deal for the price when it comes to acoustics. I love the natural finish on it. The guitar arrived without a flaw and only took a second to tune. The guitar stays in tune no matter what tuning you throw at it. I play from E-Standard to Open G, Open D, and it stays in tune. The construction is wonderful. I love the binding that this guitar has on the neck, body, and back This guitar has nice, low action, which is good for anyone to play on if you are a student, beginner, professional, hobbyist. This guitar has a full sound. It is great for flat picking, finger picking, and anything. The strings it has on it when it firsts arrives are good quality as well. This is a must purchase for some you know that plays guitar.Washburn WD100DL Dreadnought Mahogany Acoustic Guitar Black
.Absolute best bang for your buck!! This guitar has an awesome sound, and plays sweet! For a low end guitar I was very impressed! The gig bag is of good quality for a free bag!!

.I've been spanking the plank for 5 years now, but this is my first laminate guitar. I own other acoustics in the 300 and 600 price range. For the purpose of this review, I will review against the washburn wd11sce since it's currently my favorite. I needed a bash around guitar for play while drinking, and I wanted something lighter for just kicking back and strumming a few chords. I liked the wd11 so much I thought I'd go washburn again. I was not disappointed at all. The fit and finish was the same as the higher end model. I could go into a couple of flaws, but they are so minor they're not worth mentioning in a short review. Both came set up perfectly. both are really pretty guitars. both came strung with dadd extended play. Keep in mind I'm comparing a 300 guitar against one that costs half as much.
If you get too excited, you can see why laminate guitars are not as desirable. Heavy strumming does not do well with this model. If you have a fat pick and a heavy hand, you won't like this model as much as I do.
The tone is really dark to me. Of course, I'm comparing solid cedar to laminate mahogany, but I noticed right away that I preferred the Em to the G on this model.
Action is low and fast, though will buzz and sound cheap if you hammer down on it. Chords are less articulated than the wd11 model - expected.
If your a beginner, this thing is way better than what I started with!! And I highly recommend it. Likely the best acoustic under 200.
If your a player looking for a lightweight acoustic to carry around with you, this is a great choice.
If you're hoping for something you don't mind getting beat up, I'm not sure this is it. It's inexpensive, but so nice looking, you'll not want it dented or dinged.

.For the price, it is a great guitar. I was quite suprised by the feel of this guitar. I bought it to take camping and to travel with. But I was quite impressed with the playability for a guitar of this price, it doesn't feel cheap, and is alot of fun to play, and it looks pretty good as well. I play it as much as my higher end guitars.

.This inexpensive guitar sounds GREAT! I was doubtful that I would be happy with this. Boy was I wrong. The tone from this guitar is very clean with plenty of punch. No unwanted harmonics, but a rich, full sound. I'm so impressed. Why did I spend 4 times this much for my other guitar??!

.I took a chance by ordering a restock to save a few bucks, and I'm impressed with what I now own. Great sound, looks great, and easy action. Nice guitar for improving my skills before I invest in something else.
