I'll just get straight to the point. I've been playing since the 80's and I play Hard Rock and Metal mostly. I've owned virtually every brand and the famous models associated with them. This is the "undisputed" champ IMO. First of all it is made in Japan by hand from highly skilled Luthiers. It is not a massed produced guitar that goes down an assembly line and is made mostly by machinery. The second I opened it up I knew I was handling a professional instrument made with nothing but top quality materials and craftsmanship. Every one of these is given a professional setup and came ready to play right out of the box. It was literally almost in perfect tune even. The ebony fretboard is gorgeous! It was as if my own tech had set this up for me. I am a little surprised that they come loaded with .09 gauge strings but that is easily changed. Locking tuners along with the best Tremelo system made too boot. The sustain on this beast is incredible! The Seymour Duncan passive pickups sound incredible as well. I have some guitars with active EMG's but let me tell you these Duncan's will not disappoint. The bottom end is amazing for passive pickups but the mids and highs are as well. They will get you that amazing crunch without sacrificing other tonal qualities. I have paid 4 to 5 times this for some well known guitars over the years, some costing thousands more than this ESP. This is now my favorite of all of them. My go to guitar for sure. If you are thinking about buying one just do it! You will not be disappointed.ESP E-II Mystique Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose Black
