The Les Paul Standard is one of the most famous and sought-after electric guitars in the world. And now, EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e has added a twist to this classic rocker by including a gorgeous flame maple top with dual "f" holes, and a partially hollowed-out body that gives the legendary Les Paul a fresh upscale look with a lighter, more resonant body. It's the perfect combination of Les Paul sound and EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e style. Plus, the LP Standard Florentine PRO features EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e acclaimed ProBucker humbucker pickups, both with coil-tapping for a "standard" in looks and performance.
AAA Flame Maple Top and Classic
The EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e Ltd Ed Les Paul Standard Florentine PRO features a mahogany body that is carved out with two traditional f-holes for a new look that combines the Les Paul profile with EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e's legendary archtops. The Les Paul Florentine PRO features a beautiful AAA flame maple veneer top that delivers the classic LP tone and sustain but with the hint of a semi-hollowbody guitar like a 335 or Sheraton. The body also features single-ply cream binding on the top for a beautiful vintage look.
Like all EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e Les Pauls-and unlike less costly designs-the EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e Les Paul Standard Florentine PRO features a 14-degree angled headstock that gives you more pressure at the nut for longer sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by "string-tree" gadgets. The mahogany neck has a standard 24.75" scale with a 12" radius and features a 1960s SlimTaper "D" profile with a glued-in neck joint for lifelong stability. The "D" profile neck is easy to hold for hours of playing time. The smooth rosewood fingerboard comes with pearloid trapezoid inlays, 22 medium-jumbo frets, a 1.68" nut, and 1-ply cream binding.
EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e ProBucker Humbuckers with Coil-Tapping
The Ltd Ed Les Paul Florentine PRO now features ProBucker pickups for that one-of-a kind Les Paul sound. ProBucker pickups feature Alnico II magnets, the same magnets used in sought-after vintage PAF humbuckers. Alnico II magnets provide a rich, warm tone with a sparkling high end and a solid low end. And, like PAF-era humbuckers, EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e ProBucker pickups are incredibly responsive with a range of tones.
The Les Paul Standard Florentine PRO features a ProBucker-2 in the neck position and a ProBucker-3 in the bridge position. The ProBucker-3 is slightly overwound to provide balance with the neck pickup and a bit of edge for lead work. ProBuckers emulate the sound of original PAF pickups which were hand-wound with a few extra turns of wire. Both the neck and bridge pickups also feature coil-tapping which is easily activated by a push/pull volume control. Coil tapping allows players an infinite variety of pickups sounds from single-coil bark to full humbucker bite.
EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e ProBucker Power
EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e pickups are critically acclaimed for their vintage-perfect sound and superior workmanship. When winding its humbuckers, EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e utilizes a double vacuum waxing process that ensures quiet operation, free from microphonic hum. The pickup is first placed in the specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is placed on the unit to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax. EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e uses only the highest-quality parts for its pickups, such as ABS plastic bobbins, 1010 Cold Rolled Steel pole shoes and pole screws, Alnico magnets and the finest magnet wire available. A guitar with EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e ProBucker pickups is a guitar you can truly play for life.

IMHO there are two major considerations when grading a guitar.(1. Quality(2. Cost
If I grade a guitar with five stars, (I do this one) it doesn't mean that I think it's the best in the world or even the best I've played. It does mean that at this price, this is way up top.
1. finish. I found no faults at all and it is beautiful.
2. Mechanical: Nothing broken, Nothing Bent, Nothing loose (so far). The frets are a little sharp on the ends but at this price range about as good as it gets. As mentioned by others, the tuning slips just a little, but I personally think this will take care of itself. If it doesn't and I find it to be really an issue with me, the guitar is worth new tuners.
3. Playability: It's like the guy in Indonesia new exactly what I wanted in a guitar. String height is perfect. Intonation is within a couple of hertz on every string and I mean this literally (my ear would never know the difference). For my ears the pickups are adjusted exactly where I want them. The volume of the Lows and Highs are very balanced.
4. Tone: Tone is something I've always struggled with. I'm not a great player and I have hearing difficulty so tone is something I'm working on constantly. I have a 1982 ES 335 that I believe is the best sounding guitar around; it will sound any way your talents will take it. I wanted this to sound like my 335: it doesn't and I don't believe it ever will but the tone that it does have is very pleasing and very versatile for just about any type of music. The coil splits are more fun for me than useful but I think for a professional they would really be useful.
A Diehard Les Paul solid body lover may scoff at this new innovation.,,,,,,but just until they play it.
You may get the idea that I like this Florentine and that would be a fact but keep in mind that all reviews are subjective and each guitar has it's own individual sound just as each player has their own likes and skill level. I'm not a good player and I need an easy playing. This is my guitar and I would buy it again.

.The EE-Epiphone-e Les Paul Florentine is an extremely rare and hard to find version of an extremely rare Gibson. The Pro-Bucker pickups stand up to Gibson USA pickups very well. With a nitrocellulose finish, this is even closer to being a Gibson with a 80% discount. If you like the sound of an ES-335 with the looks and feel of a Les Paul, this is a very rare and very affordable chance to get a guitar most guitarist don't know exist.

First of all let me say that the Gibson version of this model is nearly $3000. But the EE-Epiphone-e gives you the best bang for your buck with this one. The EE-Epiphone-e Les Paul Florentine came ready to play right out of the box. The probucker pickups and coil tap capability really give you a nice variety of tone. I was worried about feedback at high volume but I never lost control. I would highly recommend this axe is you're looking for a cool semihollow body.Epiphone Les Paul Standard Florentine PRO Hollowbody Electric Guitar Honey Burst

Beautifully finished lightweight alternative to the traditional Les Paul. Mine is about 7lbs. Fatter, more resonant tone but you would not mistake it for a 335 as I have seen suggested elsewhere. Maybe if you jumped a string gauge or two. My top is gorgeous 4A tiger maple in Honeyburst. The body is an attractive light brown mahogany. The rosewood fretboard is so dark it could pass for ebony and is a good contrast to the honey finish. As received, the neck pickup was set too low - a two minute fix. No regrets.Epiphone Les Paul Standard Florentine PRO Hollowbody Electric Guitar Honey Burst
.Got this guitar yesterday. When I opened the box I saw that one of the tuners had stripped out and was barely hanging on. Not being one to send things back I had to repair it. I cut some matches and use wood glue to plug the hole and re-screw the tuner in place. Even though it was solid I noticed that the guitar just didn't hold tune. On that note those vintage tuners IMO are junk. So I got some hipshot locking tuners to replace the vintage ones with. Welllllllll, the holes in the headstock were too small and the locking tuners wouldn't fit. So, I had to ream out the holes to put the new tuners in. Of course once I did that there was no turning back for a refund or return. But I have worked on guitars before so I plodded ahead.
With the new tuners the guitar sounded and played much better and held tune very well.
Sound:The neck and middle position pickups sound some what muddy to me but the bridge pickup has some great bite and sound very nice.
I like the guitar now, after several hours of work and another fifty clams. That's why I can't give it five stars.
Maybe mine was not the norm but I gotta tell ya, those vintage tuners are just not very solid. If you want better tuners you'd better get yourself a reaming tool, cause that headstock won't fit anything but the old style tuners.

.For the money, this is one nice guitar. Lightweight, good looks and a great neck are the most outstanding features of this guitar. Add in the burstbuckers and you've got a great practice / gigging guitar. I noticed where people have commented that this guitar doesn't stay in tune. I notice that the strings only had about 1 1/2 winds on each peg. I changed the strings, putting them on properly and problem solved. Does this guitar sound as good as it's gibson counterpart? No! However, the difference is so close that for the huge difference in price, it's good enough. I compared this guitar to a $4k Gibson with a 490R and a 498T pickup. Although there was a difference in the sound, it was so close it was a no-brainer. The major difference in this guitar and the Gibson ES Les Paul is the ES Les Paul has a Mahogany tone block running through the guitar. This Florentine Pro only has solid support blocking for the bridge and tail piece. Th,e space under the pickups is not solid as is on the Gibson ES model. Now here's the Kicker, a Gibson ES Les Paul is $3K, this Florentine Pro is only 1/5th the price. For someone on a budget, like me, this is the wise choice. Try one today!

.Out of the box this guitar plays great! The look is amazing! The price match awesome. The return service on first damaged guitar, excellent. I was in love with the first one and had no choice to let it go back because of damage. The second one is mind blowing. The Gibson version of this guitar is 3G. Way too much for a guitar for a guy with my budget. For hundreds, this guitar is worth every penny and more. Hit the buy it now button. You will not be disappointed. I've been waiting for this one for almost 20 years. EE-Epiphone-e is awesome. Their work is almost on par or better with some Gibby stuff....did I just type that??? All my frieds tried this out and agree...it's got its own thing. Lastly, my neck thanks EE-Epiphone-e. I can now resume playing LPs at gigs without a week of neck pain from carrying a boat anchor.

.Saw a Gibson Les Paul Semi-Hollow going for a lot more. Loved it, but not spending that much or the reviews. Luckily I noticed the "also consider" banner showing this baby! Following that link, I read 6 or so positive reviews. It's rare not to have at least one negative review. None with this guitar so far - know why? 'Cause it's a sweet find. At first I thought "I don't want a fake/cheap Les Paul". But after I researched it more I took a leap of faith. Wow am I glad I did! There is nothing fake about the EE-Epiphone-e Florentine Les Paul. Clearly the best guitar I've bought.....at this price. Plays and sounds sweet, it's lightweight, relieves my aching shoulders :-), has great sustain, and the first time right-out-of-box jam with my band had them impressed, beautiful cherry sunburst finish on awesome maple top, volume controls have coil-tapping feature, tone controls are "treble-cut". At this price it's a great deal! Based on the reviews thus far, everyone who buys one LOVES it! I may buy another one in honey burst or transparent black finish. I love this guitar!!

I have had an older version of this same guitar for ten years and is my go-to secret weapon. I can't say enough about mine. Like all EE-Epiphone-es you have to find a good one. By that I mean play several and pick the one that feels the best. There's always a remarkable difference between them - more than any other guitar. I won't list all my other guitars, but a lot of people can't believe this is my favorite model. The only thing that greatly improved mine was switching out the pickups for Duncan 59s. This thing now sounds so hot that you can't put it down. I'm not kidding, this thing is a steal if you get a good one. Your $5000 guitars may come and go - if you are ever lucky enough to have them - but this one stays where you can grab it when that riff comes to you at all hours of the day. You can't go wrong quite simply if you follow my advice; most importantly to swap the first one for a second if it's not right. You'll know when you hit the jackpot like I did. BTW, that swapping them out goes for all EE-Epiphone-e guitars. If you were to line up ten, one will be much better than the others. I know stuff after many years and lots of guitars. Good luck and practice, then practice some more.Epiphone Les Paul Standard Florentine PRO Hollowbody Electric Guitar Honey Burst
