The Fishman M-200 is an archtop mandolin bridge pickup with a piezo-ceramic pickup element embedded in an adjustable ebony replacement bridge. Fishman ncludes a Carpenter-style 1/4" output jack that mounts on the side of your mandolin. Fishman recommends an impedance matching preamp (not required), and professional installation.

PROS- great natural sound. Do not have to shape this adjustable bridge, but do have to cut notches.CONS- The bracket for the 1/4 inch jack does not mount well onto all mandolins. If the top and back are slanted, then this will be pulled off of the instrument. I needed to have my luthier jerry-rig a shim to prevent the instrument jack bracket from being pulled off when I unplugged a jack. For slanted tops/backs, it is advisable to purchase the less expensive version of this that does not have a moutning bracket.
