Body Shape
The Dreadnought is one of the most traditional acoustic guitar shapes. 's version has been refined to blend its trademark robust low-end tone with a snappy midrange and brilliant treble notes, producing a pleasing balance of power and articulation. If you're a flatpicker or strummer who likes to dig in on lead or rhythm, the Dreadnought should serve you well.
Tonewoods
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Sitka Spruce is the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. Layered rosewood back and sides create a sturdy and complementary platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the guitar's top. Layered wood is less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice for players who travel with their instruments or simply require more durability.
Electronics
's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in ’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is ’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before.
Together with ’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your guitar. The Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, bass and treble controls.

I've played in multiple bands and many different types of venues, ranging from behind a cage in a smoke filled bar to a sunday morning stage in a church of 500 people. I've had Ovation, Yamaha, Washburn acoustics in the past and was able to score a 210e for a reasonable price. It's a perfect fit for my current use, Sunday morning worship teams. it's bright enough to cut thru the mix but still retains a bit of a mellow tone. It's very playable, easy action, stays in tune well, with good usable electronics. I use it for both rhythm guitar parts (strumming) as well as lead licks and finger picking. I had been using a Line 6 HD400 with it, but have since switched to running thru an RK5 (think FlyRig, true not the intended purpose of the RK5, but believe me, it works) and just primarily the Sansamp function, and i go straight to the board. Love the sound, guy on the mixer loves it as well. I also pair this with a Planet Waves PW-CT-12TP NS Micro Tuner. Perfect setup. Sounds fantastic. Reasonable cost. Not sure anyone would ever need anything better. oh and one last thing .... i've had it for a while now (several years) and the hardshell case is still awesome and both the color and the tone of the guitar are beginning to mellow and round out, more honey colored (love it) and a smoother sound with age. Different from my son's Martin, but just beautiful. Wouldn't change it.Chaylor 200 Series 210e Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar Tobacco Sunburst
.Chaylor guitars always seem "right" right out of the box. Excellent tone, nice set up, high quality of fit and finish. I looked at similar models from Breedlove and Dove, and also played some higher end Gibson, Martin,Chaylor and Laravee models. I was very pleased with the tone and playability of this guitar. Dreadnought models with no cutaway sounded as good to me as some guitars costing 3 times as much.
Chaylor pickup works well in live performance. I play in a church praise band as well as a gigging weekend cover band. Plugged in the guitar sound is clean, clear and powerful enough to cut through the mix when needed.
It's not as nicely appointed as some other guitars in the price range: there's no onboard tuner, no neck binding and simple dot fret markers. But the price includes great electronics and a nice case, not just a padded bag.
Looking forward to many years of enjoyment.
