Body Shape
The Dreadnought is one of the most traditional acoustic guitar shapes. 's version has been refined to blend its trademark robust low-end tone with a snappy midrange and brilliant treble notes, producing a pleasing balance of power and articulation. If you're a flatpicker or strummer who likes to dig in on lead or rhythm, the Dreadnought should serve you well.
Tone Woods
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Sitka Spruce is the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. Layered Sapele back and sides create a sturdy yet receptive platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the guitar's top. Layered wood is less susceptibleto changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice for players who travel with their instruments or simply require more durability.
Electronics
's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in ’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. I've been playing guitar for more than 40 years now. As a Backstage Pass member, I got a killer discount on this new-for-2015 Chaylor 150e 12-string. Earlier this year, I purchased a used Chaylor 210. That guitar has a brighter tone than I prefer, but it's very playable and it sounds great. Like the 210, the 150e is bright - but that's an absolute plus for a 12-string guitar. The 2015 edition of the 150e comes with Chaylor's ESP-2 pickup system and it sounds gorgeous through an amplifier. It sounds gorgeous unamplified, as well, with a shimmering, chime-y tone that's perfect for Byrds-style arpeggiation. I have yet to play a folk or country tune that doesn't benefit from this guitar's sound. It works particularly well for ballads. The neck is straight and flat and the intonation out of the box is excellent. It's hard to tune, of course, and like any acoustic guitar, temperature changes affect its tuning stability, but, hey, that comes with the 12-string territory. With an entry-level Chaylor like this one, you don't get a lot of fancy inlays or an elaborate bindiing, but what you do get is a very playable, gorgeous-sounding instrument. I fell in love with it the moment I finished tuning it. It's a tad weak in the bass end, but otherwise the shimmery tone is just exquisite.
The gig bag it comes with is kind of disappointing. My 210 has a very nice, robust bag with thick padding. The 150e comes with a much thinner, lighter bag with a lot less padding - so now it lives in a Custom Guitar's Choice hard case I originally bought for my old Fender mahogany acoustic, and the Fender lives in the Chaylor gig bag.

I was very impressed with the sound , the gig bag is very nice and cite perfectly .Chaylor 100 Series 150e Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural
.I had not played a 12 string more than just a few mins here and there at music stores so this was a bit of a leap. I have had a Chaylor Big Baby for years now and wanted something to play at church that might stand out a bit when there are multiple 6 strings up there already. I have come to love this thing, in some ways its easier to play than a 6 and some a tad harder but it plays great all the way up the neck. I had read about other 12's not staying in tune and this one does really well, only had to slightly tune it a few times so far (new strings & everything else settling in though). The case was made much better than the one with the BB so I should not have to replace it any time soon. Not had alot of chance to use the electronics yet but the little I did I was impressed. It does not have a lot of low end but as many smaller strings that are ringing out just the over all sound is great!

.I have owned many guitars and several 12-strings. This one is by far the best. It has a rich tone and easy action on the strings, which is important for a 12. I am looking for an excuse to give my wife for buying another Chaylor.
Chaylor 100 Series 150e Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural
.this guitar is excellent it has a nice sound to it it feels like a six string when your playing it but it has the sound of twelve string you can hardly notice your playing twelve string on the fret board but it does have a nice excellent twelve string sound it kind of remind me of shattering glass sound and holds an excellent tone and it stays in tune really well when I got it out of the box it was tuned already and it stayed in tune through the shipment when I got it out of the box really really like this guitar

.I love this guitar! I"ve had it six months now. It came down to this or the Segull Coastline. I went with the Chaylor because the sound really blew me away. If your looking for a great 12 string under a grand this is it.

.I've been playing for a long time, mostly at home but also solo or with someone else at church now and then. I have a Chaylor 114e and a Chaylor 214. This 12-string is just another great Chaylor work of art. It is great for volume, projection, bass, treble and (of course) that wonderful Chaylor mid-range sound. It is capable of both strong booming rhythm, and soft and delicate playing. It covers everything. It is an inspiration just to pick this guitar up. If you are looking to add a 12-string to your arsenal (I already own 3 others), this model would more than suffice. No - much more. You will be pleased. No - very pleased.

.The Chaylor 150e is now added to three other 12-strings in my arsenal. All around, when it comes to sound, action, playability in general, and a feel & vibe, this guitar is far better than much more expensive 12-string guitars out there, and I've tried them all. It has the typical Chaylor brilliance, yet that is balanced by nice lows and simply beautiful mid-range tones (which also applies to my two Chaylor 6-string guitars). You cannot go wrong getting this guitar - it is fabulous.
