Well built, with cable, two switch, one switches from channel one, that would be the clean channel, to channel 2 that can be anything you set it for and back. The other shuts off effects on channel two(reverb, chorus, delay etc) but not the amp choice or (voice)tweed, blackface, british, etc. Pretty handy set up. Before playing, the two volumes, channel one and channel two can be set even with each other or one lower then the other on the amp. Oh, and the Super Champ XD, one sweet tube amp, a bargian of the decade.Fender FM65DSP and Super-Champ XD Footswitch
.This switch works great with my new Champion 40 Amp. The LEDs work perfectly and the switch does
an excellent job.
I have not been able to find the actual footswitch that is specified for the New Fender Champion 40, so I purchased this one from Custom Guitar's Friend. This dual purpose foot switch requires just a regular 2 conductor guitar cord (not a special 3 conductor stereo cord), so the lack of a 12' cord in the box was not a problem for me. I believe that the design uses the light emitting diodes to separate the tasks between the channel switch and the on/off effects switch. Any regular guitar cord should work (my 25' cord works fine). The unit is well built and free shipping took only 4 days, including a weekend.

.This review is for the footswitch for the new Champion 40 amp. It came up as the same foot switch as the Champ amp, don't think they are the same, so be careful on this. The footswitch works fine, just like its supposed to, its too bad Fender just doesn't include it in the purchase, like the do on the 2X12 version, the 100. the part number for the new Champion 40 footswitch is: ASSY. P/N 0071359000.

.I got this footswitch to use with my Super Champ X2 and it works properly. The left button switches between channel 1 and 2, and the right button turns effects on and off. The effects button turns off both the primary effect and any virtual stomp boxes included via FUSE. If you set the effect(s) "bypass mode" switch to "input" using FUSE, when you turn off the effect via the footswitch you still get the "tail" of the effect (e.g. if you use a long reverb sound, once the switch turns off the effect you can still hear the reverb trail off until it decays into silence). The buttons do not generate switching pops or other detectable noise (though I run a lean, low-noise setup with no adaptor-powered pedals, so I can't speak to button noise issues in complicated setups with a bunch of power adaptors). The 2 LEDs are bright and visible under probably any stage conditions. There is no power required, the LEDs are operated through the low power coming through the connecting cable, which is just a regular instrument cable, a great feature.
As for construction, the casing is metal except the black sides, which are sturdy plastic. It seems to be well built. My only criticism of this unit is there are no rubber feet on the bottom, and since it is very light, it moves around a lot, even on carpet. I expect I will get some stick-on rubber feet from the hardware store and see if that keeps it in place better. If you gig with this switch, you will probably want some way to keep it secured from moving around. All in all though, very satisfied with this footswitch.

.This works Great with my Superchamp X2 head. Like being able to go from clean to dirty, and turn built-in Delay effect on and off as needed. Helps me get the most out of this Superchamp!

.Works as advertised. Switches channels and turns effects on an off. Pretty simple. You should note that it also works just as well with the newer Super Champ X2 model. It would make it easier for search engines to find it. Unlike other foot switches I've purchased, you have to use your own instrument cable to connect it to the amp. Not a big deal. I'm quite happy with it.

.Expected a cable with it. Did not get one. For the price I guess it really does not matter. Takes any regular guitar cable.
Fender FM65DSP and Super-Champ XD Footswitch
.Works perfectly. Made well.
Fender FM65DSP and Super-Champ XD Footswitch
.There isn't much to say other than it works perfect with the Super-Champ XD. It is pretty much the same as all other fender foot switches in build, weight and size.
Fender FM65DSP and Super-Champ XD Footswitch
.Works exactly how it's supposed to. Even has indicator lights for channel switching and effects.
