I bought the midnight blue custom C 1 in the summer of 2014. I owned it for about a year and a half. First of all, the guitar is a very nice guitar. Superb finish, great hardware, and Seymour Duncan Custom Custom/ 59 combo sounded great along with the coil splitting. After a while, I started having issues though. I eventually had to face that it wasn't made for metal or thicker string gauges. The "Les Paul" scale length as well as the medium (very small) frets had a very negative effect on the playability for me. You constantly feel the fretboard, unlike when you have medium jumbo, or jumbo. The nut is also pretty short so thicker strings didn't sit well. Ironically, along with the short scale length, I had a lot of problems with really tight string tension. For example: I would use the D'addario 11-52 set for Drop C, which is relatively light for that tuning and the scale length of the guitar, but any strings I ever put on it always felt like cables. If your'e a non metal player, you might enjoy the C 1 custom, but if you play metal, definitely look elsewhere unless you already know you just prefer the features of a guitar like this.
