I had no idea what I was missing in my bass repertoire until I got this fretless. I already own a Fernandes fretless, but it doesn't have fret lines on the neck, so I spent more time worrying about hitting the notes properly than I did actually enjoying myself playing it. With this bass, that's no longer a problem. It's an absolute delight to play, sounds amazing, and has made me fall in love with fretless in a way I never expected.
The neck on this bass is fantastic. With the Ernie Ball flatwound strings that come stock on it, it plays smooth as butter. The EMG 35Hz pickups combined with the great EQ make this an amazingly solid sounding bass with a huge tonal variety right at your fingertips.
I own four Schecters now and the build quality on them is beyond amazing. They're easily worth twice the price. They're made in South Korea and set up here in the USA. Setup was perfect right out of the box, and the finish on this bass combined with the gold satin hardware makes it look like a piece of art. The fretlines are clearly visible on the neck and the tuners are rock solid.
There are cheaper fretless basses out there, but if you want an amazingly beautiful instrument that sounds and plays like a dream and is an incredible value for the price, then look no further.

.I bought this bass about a year ago. It was my first fretless and a step up from my Squire P bass. I was immediately amazed at the quality of this when I picked it up at the store. It has great tone. It has deep booming low end and can give you a high punchy tone with everything in between. The tonal variety that can be obtained with the bass alone rivals that of a pedal. Just the right weight, perfect balance and I have to say, the bass is amazing looking. I highly recommend it. I really cant find any flaws. I have had no problems and it has become my main bass out of 3. Easy to play and high quality. Very good.

.This is my first fretless. I felt I was missing an aspect of playing the bass, so I invested in a Schecter. I'm not sorry I did. Kyle was very helpful during the chat we had before I placed my online order. Had I not asked, I wouldn't have known it didn't ship in a case. I ordered a Gator bass case for it and asked Kyle to ship the bass in the case for protection due to the long trip to Alaska. It arrived in one well packed box, nestled inside the case. I wanted to put a fresh battery in it as soon as I opened it, and it takes 2 batteries. Hmmmm. I wish I would have known that. The batteries that came in it are Swiss Army batteries? Oh well. I plugged it into my preamp and rocked out. Everything is solid. The neck is really fast. I'm in love with this bass. Even my wife commented on how beautiful it is. It's an amazing instrument. Changing the batteries to Evereadys.

.Wonderful instrument - only limited by my own abilities to play, but that also makes this fretless beauty a challenge to master. My best experience with it so far was during a song by Third Day called My Hope is You (as an acoustic number) where I discovered that I could hit the third up above the 12th fret while droning on another open string--that fretless sound--wow, love it ! ! !

.Got this bass today and jammed on for a good three hours, Ran it through a Peavey Amp and an old Zoom 501bass multi-effect pedal.

It's also the easiest bass I've played in a while, I have a Fender P and a BC-Rich, this one just flows so much easier, it smooth and responsive compared to it the other two are clunky and dull. It pairs well with the effects, no weird sounds. Fuzz and Distortion sound oddly nice through it, but a delay chorus mix I've found to be the most appealing. Synth sounds also sound good and wah compliments the fretless tone amazingly well. Tapping works well with the active pick-ups, as does slap/popping.

The only small gripe I have about it is when I first unpacked it, the input was a little jacked-up. I had to fix it myself simply moving a metal connector back into position and it's held through the session.

Other than that its probably one of the best bass guitar I've had, and the play other bass to sound better has been a Warwick.

.I exchanged the a 5-string session of this bass for its 4-string studio neck-through cousin. The latter is a great sounding bass, but I realized that the maximum "muah" sound would come from the added sustain provided by a neck-through design. You can't go wrong with either, but if you afford the step-up in price, go for it!
