I was looking for a 24-fret Flying V with unfettered access to the highest frets and this one fit the bill. I like it because it has just about all the hardware goodies that I end up having to install later like locking tuners and bridge. It is well crafted and what I call a "nice piece of wood." Plays like butter and sustains for days.I would give it 5 stars if not for the active EMG 57/66 pickups. Apparently they are supposed to give you a modern PAF sound. These are brittle sounding and although they have some picking dynamics, they have no volume dynamics. You get different tones from soft or hard picking with them, but the volume stays at a high level. This will be a killer axe once I replace the electronics with a good passive system.
