This PRS S2 Starla is finished in Seafoam Green and features a matching headstock giving this axe a seriously rocking look. The asymmetrical singlecut beveled thin mahogany body is very comfortable, quite resonant and features a finish system that is reminiscent of the blend used on the PRS Core guitars for the past 20 years before they introduced the V12 finish. The finish is composed of a polyester basecoat and a a thinner acrylic topcoat for optimal tone. Indeed, we are excited to see how these guitars age over the years as we're sure they will mature very nicely with time. The Starla features a mahogany neck with a Pattern Regular profile, a rosewood fretboard, dot inlays a 25" scale length and the same fret wire that's used on all of the PRS Core line of guitars. A set of Starla humbuckers have been designed to work and sound extremely well with the Bigsby B50 Tailpiece. These pickups are wired to a 3 way blade switch, Master Volume and Master Tone control that features a push / pull coil tap so you can access a slew of single coil tones as well. Some other stand out features on this axe include nicel hardware, a "Starla" truss rod cover, PRS S2 locking tuners and an S2 gig bag. The S2 line of guitars from PRS is manufactured in the US and is offered at a truly affordable price point. Beyond that, this line of guitars uses some of the very same components found on their more expensive models such as the nut, jack assembly, fret wire and ergonomic electronic knobs.
