I have to say this is the highest quality stage piano money can buy, and you will have to cough plenty of it. The piano samples are the best, the rest are identical to the P250, middle of the road. You will not find a heavier piano to transport and don't even consider doing so without a professional road case. I use a 2 tier Ultimate Keyboard stand that I have beefed up, the stageworks and others simply wabble when you get into a good groove. Love the on-board speakers for practicing alone, useless in a band, even as monitors. The sliders for EQing and mixing parts are nice, but the only improvement over the P250 If you have not owned a top line Stage piano, you will love this one. If you have owned a P200 or P250, save your money until decides to give us all something more worth the 3 grand to upgrade to a new Stage piano. Korg, Roland, Kerzweill, and Moog are suffering from the same customer complaints, WHERES THE BEEF? .I'm a jazz woodwind, mainly sax, player who wanted to dig a little deeper into the piano world, and bought this CP300 a little over two years ago. Here are my impressions. First, I have no use for the built-in speakers. The sound quality from those built-in speakers is very poor. If I had it to do over again I'd buy a piano without any on-board audio. Mostly I use the piano in my room for practice, so I use headphones. If I need to make the instrument audible to others, I have a pair of Roland KC550s I use for that. The keyboard is excellent. The weighted keys are just like whose on a good grand. I can't comment too much on the other controls, as I really don't dig very deeply into the instrument apart from the Grand Piano settings. To me, this is a piano, rather than a source of electronic sounds, though it certainly seems to have a lot of those, and they do come through my Roland amps very nicely. To me, this piano emulates a grand very closely. The only time I'm aware of it being an electronic piano is during a long tone decay, especially with only one or two tones sounding. As the tone decays, it becomes very apparent that it is being electronically generated. I've learned to ignore that.I carry the piano around with me when I have to travel. It is heavy. One man can carry it with difficulty, two men is a better idea. I stick it in the back seat of my SuperCrew. I'd like to have a nice hard case for it, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there to accomodate the particular dimensions of this piano. So, when I take it with me, I just use a large hand truck, then lift it into my vehicle. The build quality is excellent considering this isn't what I would consider a very expensive instrument. I'm accustomed to woodwind instruments that cost many times more! So, to me, this was a bargain price for a piano that is reasonably portable, never needs tuning, can be played with headphones, and sounds and behaves very close to a real acoustic grand. And if I ever need any of the hundreds of other sounds this instrument can make, they'll be at my fingertips.

.Listen, I've played real pianos for a considerable amount of years and am still looking for a piano that comes close to the feel of a piano. No matter how warped your senses are, one can tell that this undoubtedly is a keyboard, and a very expensive one at that! The features are too complicated to use as well as the fell was in no way what I thought it would be! THIS KEYBOARD IS NOTHING SHORT OF AVERAGE!

.I will try and keep this simple. I've owned the keyboard for about 2 years now. I couldn't be more happier. I have owned lots of pro keyboards but none that feels as good as this one. The weighted keys on this thing is the best. It's as close as it comes to the real thing. The sound coming out of this thing is very 3D. Full and spacious. I MIDI in my ES7. I sold my ES8 weighted 88 key after getting the CP300 and have never regreted it. Very simple - get on with playing piano. If you are used to playing a acoustic piano and want to go electric then this is the one for you.

.So I was looking for an awesome digital keyboard that had the full 88 weighted keys and took a chance on due to some samples and reviews I had read on the internet.I got mine yesterday and spent the entire night playing it. It has great action, amazing patches and tone configuration. I even recorded with it just to see how well it does, and it's...well perfect! The speakers are loud and the vibration effect is just so cool! I'm very happy with this purchase and so will any piano player regardless of skill!

.I bought this keyboard to use in my home studio, after trying several others. I needed a keyboard with 88 keys, with great piano action (I'm a jazz and classical pianist), first-rate sounds, MIDI capable, and good quality internal speakers. This keyboard fulfills all of these requirements.

.Many years ago I had the p-150. At the time it had ground breaking 32 notes of polyphony. I recently bought the cp-300, took it home and played with my jaw dropped for about 3 hours. The piano sounds are amazing. The high registered notes sound exactly like a real piano would. I am a big Rhodes fan with some flange and temelo. When I played that setting I was shot back into the late 70's early 80's era when I grew up playing the classics. The good and bad of the thing is that it's well constructed but it's also a beast. Once I start doing gigs again I may have to have my own roadie. Lugging around 105lbs isn't my idea of fun...but for home use and production this is the Holy Grail.

.This piano is simply amazing. I love the warm pad on... and the actual piano sounds are great. You can make many different sounds. I normally like layering piano 1 and 2... i like the full classical sound. But, overall this piano is amazing.

This keyboard is the one. I was going between this and the roland fantom. Although the fantom has all the bells and whistles, this has the real deal piano and organ sounds. Its action feels more authentic than any keyboard i have ever played on. If you are looking for good synth leads this is not the keyboard to go to.Yamaha CP-300 88-Key Stage Piano
