This is my 4th LTD. Had a purple 256. Just not good enough. Then got a steal on a 401. Had the quality nut, paint, tuners. Sold it. What a dummy I was. Got another used 256 which was as bad as the 1st and in worse condition. Settled on the EC-200. Learned my lesson about the entry level models. ESP tuners are good. Neck and wood fabulous. Body great shape. Slightly unfinished look. Pefer a little sheen on it. Would be easy to spray. Amazingly the pickups that everyone complained about are really nice and stand up to some of the expensive ones I have. Sounds nice clean and dirty. Coil tap really nice, and gives you nice sounds. As the body ages this will look really nice. Body not too thick. Setup perfectly out of the box and sounds in tune. You know how some guitars never sound in tune. Well this one sounds perfect. Even with an open A minor. Binding on the neck is out of this world. Puts my SG to shame. Frets great quality too. Nice perl inlays. Contours on the wood are really nice and make it comfortable to play with. The only defect is that they got the volumes reversed for the neck and bridge. I can change that. But had to knock off a star for that. Got a great deal and feel like it was a steal. This isn't one of those wall guitars. It's a players guitar that needs to be used and scruffed up and then it's going to be even nicer. Not one of those guitars that's going to sell because of its flashy looks. But a musician with a keen eye and ear will know it's a keeper.
