Product Features

The EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e Limited Edition Emperor Swingster Royale Electric Guitar that outclasses other hollow-body guitars in its price range! World famous for making some of the best and most innovative hollow-body guitars, EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e conjures up some of its past with the Emperor Swingster. Starting with the same body and neck as used on their Emperor-II guitar and made famous by the jazz master himself, Joe Pass, EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e swings into action and turns it into a serious twangin', rock-a-billy slingin', country flingin' machine! Case sold separately.

Classic Construction with SwingBucker Pickups!
With it's hand-scalloped arched spruce top combined with a laminated arched-back maple body and glued-in 3-piece hard maple neck, the Swingster has what it takes to satisfy any professional's demand for great tone. At the heart of the guitar are EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e's SwingBucker pickups and a sophisticated series/parallel electronic switching package. Specially designed for the Swingster, the humbuckers offer no hum performance and feature classic Alnico-V magnets, enamel wire and over-wound coils for the perfect combination of warmth and bite.

Series/Parallel Switching.
Two push/pull Tone controls allow you to change each pickup's output individually from parallel to series wiring creating a palette of useful sounds to tap into ranging from warm humbuckers to "quacky" single-coil type sounds and everything in-between. Of course, any swinging machine needs a vibrato and the Swingster is no exception featuring a Bigsby Licensed B30 with original style "wire" handle as preferred by "Certified Guitar Player" and legend, Chet Atkins.

Loads of Bling
Topping it all off are EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e's trademark, multi-bound headstock with the classic mother-of-pearl "vine" inlay, premium gold Grover tuners and a multi-bound, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with block inlays. And EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e stands behind every guitar they make with a Limited Lifetime and Gibson 24/7/365 Customer Service. Awesome
I've been playing this guitar non stop all week and just love it. When I recieved the guitar it had some really crappy strings on it and the fretboard sucked all the oils out of my hands, so I removed the strings and conditioned the fretboard and replaced the strings, lowered the action and it's just awesome now. The pick ups are suprisingly vibrant and the series/parallel feature puts it above a lot guitars that cost 6x what this one cost. I own 46 guitars and this one is amoung the best of them. The emperor is built solid and looks a lot like a Gretsch White Falcon. Check one out.
It'll be around for a long time.
Can't beat it.

. Great overall sound, look and quality. Just be gentle with her.
Love the Bigsby, surprisingly ergonomic. Series, parallel switching on the pick-ups is not a big difference in the overall sound.
The pearl finish is so classy, better than I expected, Gold sparkle bindings...very Falconesque.
This guitar can't take agressive playing though, without knocking the strings from the saddles.
It's a fraction of the price of the "White Falcon" that it is undoubtedly, patterned after.

.This guitar really looks cool! It plays nice, sounds nice and is set up decently right out of the box.
The headstck is a tad heavy though and the fit and finish where the neck meets the body leaves a little bit to be desired on mine.
All and all a good guitar for the price.

.I stained the fretboard black ebony which makes it even more beautiful that the rosewood which looked drab to me and took away some of the pizzaz and added a gold pickguard which enhanced the look even more. I sometimes get string buzz and have to roll the particular saddle under the string to get it to stop, but this is occassional and I can fix it quickly. I shouldn't have to mess with it though... hence only 4 stars.
Overall, great guitar. I use it all the time in performance and recording. It stays suprisingly in tune better than many other guitars withn bigsbys which is a common issue and this bigsby is sensitive and easy to use.
I love it. Great price!

.I simply love this guitar. I needed a hollow body guitar be course starting a Rockabilly band, so I looked around in music shops and tried several Gretch guitars - both the very expensive ones, and their cheaper series, and some Guild, and Gibson hollows too. Then my eyes caught this orange Swingster wonder, hanging next, and compared to all the other guitars I have just tried, this EE-Epiphone-e Swingster felt so right. The neck has a marvelous C shape feel. The strings were perfectly close to the fretboard, which were perfect for my taste. I like it when there is almostly no curve in the middle, and this fretboard was perfectly straight...not bad for a guitar, right out of the box. The overall finish and craftsmanship is stunning....need to say that I bought the guitar, and here, after ½ a year I am getting more and more happy with my Orange guitar wonder. I have plyed several gigs by now, and I have come to use the point of feed back usefully on stage, and I love all the different sounds I can get from these wonderful sounding pickups. I mainly use my Vox AC15, or my eighties Vox v15, and only one pedal - a Carl Martin Repeat box. That`s all I need for playing. The rest of sounds is easily achieved through the diversity of possibilities from the Alnico 5 pickups. Surprisingly it is how well it stays in tune. the only modding I have done is to change the bridge for a rollerbridge...not that the old bridge did not stay in tune, but the saddle sliders had a sharp edge, that cut my hands when playing. And the I have replaced the knobs for four white chickenhead knobs, for better visibility of in which position they are, and it looks really cool. the knob of the 3 position shift switch has been changed also for a white, to make it perfect. I have recognized how much more sound that is coming out of the guitar now, when playing all acoustically, this really amazes me, and just shows that wood is a living material. I love my Swingster immensely :O)

No faults found with this guitar. Not wild about gold hardware but with the great price I got on the Royale, I don't care! I all I had to do was put on new strings (11's), set the string height and adjust the intonation. Beautiful guitar that is a blast to play with the seriel/parallel switching! BTW, the EE-Epiphone-e Emperor case fits mine just fine with the chet bar despite some complaints I read on the internet.

.Absolutely wonderful. Full tone, fhole body excellent. String tension and height wonderful. The Chet Atkins Bigsby tremolo is right on. It has added flair and quality to the regular Bigsby arm. I played an old Silvertone growing up. Beautiful instrument, wasn't sure i wanted white but at the price was right. Fretboard beats all in way as frets are high enough to fingertap, smooth fretboard for a rosewood, nice ! I was so afraid I wouldn't like this instrument in the lag time between when I ordered it and got it that I had already made plans to trade it in for another but I played it tuned right up and played it and played around on it and in half an hour I was happy with it as I could ever be. The Bigbsy arm tremolo was real fun toy for the instrument. I hadn't really played with a tremolo since I was a kid. I am sure this has as much flare as any floyd rose on any hardtail instrument. It was great. I absolutely recommend this guitar especially for the buck you are dropping to get it. The hollowbody and bigsby tremolo as a combination offer something straight up distinguished in it's own taste. I am going to go show my buddies at the pawn shop and a music store this thing and they are gonna love it. Get one ! and I am a real customer not some hack trying to get you to buy my product. This thing made me laugh like a child again about playing guitar when I felt down and out and wondering if I should care about anything. It was great.
