I own two of these cases. Simply put, this case cannot be beat for the money. This stylish case fits the instrument perfectly and firmly cradles the neck. Unless you are prone to dropping your case out of 10th story windows or shipping them, this is more case than you will ever need for a fraction of the cost. The "older" EE-Epiphone-e cases had a single clasp on the back (hinge side) of the case that was about as useful as a parachute on a submarine. Most folks forgot to unlatch before opening, resulting in a broken clasp. EE-Epiphone-e/Gibson wised up, because the back clasp is no longer a feature on these cases!Epiphone SG Hardshell Case
.The older reviews had me worried, but the case I got fits my Limited Edition 1966 G-400 perfectly. Smells like a new case, but I can see why some people find it bothersome. If you are not used to being around motorcycles, the smell can overwhelm you. Overall, I wouldn't put my new G-400 in anything else. They are a perfect match.

.I bought the case for a Gibson SG, thought since it was an EE-Epiphone-e it would be sure to fit...wrong! The case lid won't close without being pushed down, which creates too much pressure on the guitar. Also in the description it said the case was non-locking but mine had a lock on it so I guess this is a new/different case; even though they are the same item number. I have two other Gibson SGs with two Gibson cases and both fit. One case is the Gibson SG case that is listed on MF site. Ending up sending Epi case back and buying a Gator Traditional Brown which fits perfectly. Am disappointed the case didn't fit as advertised! I read many great reviews on the case before the purchase...something has changed, the new case IS lockable.

.Just received this case and, my SG fits perfectly. I also have the same type of case for my LP and, it's ditto on it too. For the bucks spent it's quite sufficient. Looks great,nice hardware,plush lining is super soft, should provide very good protection for my instrument. Highly reccommended.

.I own now... 3 EE-Epiphone-e Cases the SG I just received today and 2 335's. They are not touring cases, however, they are solid,fit the instruments perfectly, relatively inexpensive etc... The two 335's made it from Honolulu to Colorado in the cabin. Not sure how they would have fared in the hold, but the trick with non-heavy duty cases is to get them through security. Then, if you have to - you can gate check like a stroller. I would have no fear of the gate check with these cases.

.I was concerned that this case wouldn't be a good fit for my EE-Epiphone-e G-400. However, when I placed my guitar into it, I was amazed at how it fit perfectly. I'm confident it's the best protection when I hand it over to the airlines for my upcoming trip from the U.S. to Australia where I live. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about the scrapes and scratches which the airlines will add.

.I ordered one of these for my first SG Special. MF gave me an SKB instead of an EE-Epiphone-e case, which is all well and good except for the fact that the SKB cases fit the LTD Vipers much better than standard SG shapes. Either way, I was mostly satisfied, but be wary of MF sending the wrong product.
