Analogman Sun Lion with White Dot NKT 275 (high gain) germanium transistors, for sale. I am the second owner and only used it for 10 or 15 minutes as I began to realize Im not a fuzz guy but rather a distortion guy although I do very much like the fuzz and the Beano boost modeled after the Dallas Arbiter treble boost circuit made famous by Eric Clapton on the John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers "Beano" album. I purchased recently a couple or so months ago from a gentleman who bought new 5 years ago who said it has " seen very little use since" his purchase. The following was taken from his original ebay ad, "I would estimate I've played it about once a year, and always put back in it's box for storage, when not in use. The pedal is in perfect working condition, and comes with everything that it came with originally - box, manual, cloth bag, rubber feet, as pictured. The pedal has never had velcro on it. It has the "sunface" design on the front. As you can see, it says, "Do Pedals Right", on the back, it is missing the "We", this was a mis-stamp, and came from Analogman this way, it is not from wear.
This is a vintage style pedal, and runs on battery only (not included), as recommended by Analogman for germanium transistors. Also, he recommends using the dollar store Carbon batteries, as opposed to Alkaline, but you probably already know that. A note on the high gain NKT275's from Analogman's website:
"High Gain NKT transistors
If you want the NKT sound, but with more fuzz, and a bit brighter, with a reasonable amount of cleanup like other fuzzface clones and our other germaniums (not 100% clean), we had some HIGH GAIN NKTs that we have saved over the years. They are the same parts as the white dot NKTs, they just tested out higher in gain than the ones we normally use."
