My expensive guitars are in the case. My 50W and 15W amps have a cover. My pedalboard has 13 pedals and is also covered. As you can see, it takes me some time to set everything up before start playing. I decided to buy a cheap guitar and a mini amp that I can leave on the floor or couch, already plugged in, so I can just grab the guitar, turn the amp on and practice for a few minutes everyday.
I ended up buying the Fender package that includes a Squier strat, the Frontman 10G, a clip-on tuner, etc., for only Cdn199. I don't care if they get dust, snow, rain, hurricane..... I now practice everyday.
This amp has a nice clean sound and it is quite loud for its size. It can fit under the bed! The overdrive is ok for a practice amp. It has a 6" speaker in a small enclosure, so do not expect big sounds, obviously. Recommended for bedroom or small studio. Once again, this is a practice amp with a nice Fender sound. Good tool if you play on the streets (I don't). Actually, with the package, it costs less than a mini amp and sounds ten times better.
I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years, so I do appreciate good equipment. You have to be realistic. If you want pro sound, get pro equipment and be prepared to pay for it. This is a good amp for the size and price.

.Great for the price, if you need a practice amp you should get it.
It has everything a practice amp should, including a headphone jack
Well built but occasionally i get a little buzz that is fixed by turning the amp off and then back on
Great value, more than i ever expected from a cheap practice amp.

.A guitarist for over 30 years, I've owned many amps. For rock and metal, nothing beats a Marshall. Fender generally leans more towards satisfying clear projection objectives, say, jazz or acoustic-based music. But if one is looking for a good little amp for home use or band practice, this amp projects a decent, ringing tone, has enough features to modify that tone, produces decent gain for a heavier edge, and works well with all pedals. It is indeed a genuine amp. Keeping the amp sound clean and using a Boss distortion pedal lends to an even sharper metal sound, and additional tone modification. Whether a beginner or more experienced player, this amp will cover your modest objectives; 10 watts is louder than you'd think, and the tone of this Frontman isn't compromised by higher volume levels. It's a decent line of amps; I own a larger one as well. Your needs and goals, within boundaries, will not be compromised with this amp--whether they be acoustic, classic rock, jazz, recording, or elsewhere. It's a bargain buy. Save your Marshall for when you're playing the Garden.

.very nice little fella that I use as a practice amp, I especially like that I can plug the headphones in and not annoy anyone! lol

.This amp is a piece of junk. Don't waster you time or money. I boxed it up and had it ready to send back less than 5 minutes after I tried to use it.

.Bought this as a Christmas gift for my son as his first amp. I have been playing for 43 years and have owned many an amplifier so I wasn't expecting much but honestly this little amp sounds great. It does what you would expect for it's size, sounds great for it's size and for the price is an excellent value. This is a great starter/practice amp.

.As far as small cheap amps are concerned, this is the best I have seen. The clean channel is great, and the distortion is acceptable. As with any amp this size it's limited on volume, but in the 3-7 range it isn't bad at all. The amp looks great, and seems to be of decent quality. Nothing jumps out at me as being particularly cheap and flimsy, and believe me, I would absolutely tell you if it did. The only real flaw I see is that the speaker performs poorly if you turn the volume way up. It seems to me that they should know the limitations of the small speaker and adjust the output accordingly. The 7-10 range on the volume is useless, and if somebody insists playing on 10, the speaker is going to endure un-necessary punishment that it probably can't withstand over time. This would especially be a problem in the hands of a child, and I purchased 2 of these for use by children. Overall, I think this amp is a fine choice as far as this price range goes. If you are looking for something small, buy one. They're not bad! You're not gonna get the tone of a fender hotrod deluxe, or the face melting distortion of a marshall, but for the money it's a good buy.

.Looking for a new practice/at ease/use at home kind of amp? This just might be perfect for you.

It's small, has a good sound, nice length on the power cord (4-5 feet), and looks amazing. The words on my mind as I pulled it out of the box were "It's so pretty.."

Pros: It sounds great. I put a nice, deep bass tone on, with a good ringing high end. It sounds amazing clean. I'm not much for effects, but I messed around a little with the gain, and it sounds good. It's a heavy little amp - sound electronics. Sturdy. Even has a velcro strap to keep the cord in while transporting, keeping it from tangling. An excellent addition.

Cons: I haven't found any yet. Seems great.

Bottom line: It hasn't exploded, except in quality. It looks great; I love the grey grill with the Fender monogram right on it.
Want a small amp with a few effects and great tone? Buy it. No regrets.

.This Amp is great. I bought it to bring to school and its great. If you want a small and light amp buy this.
Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp Black
.Not bad...it's actually a LOT smaller than I had envisioned, but it sounds just fine, it's way loud enough for a home practice amp, very convenient size
