  Our signature ACRYLIC line finds yet another new direction with the "Phantom" series, newly introduced in 2011! Why acrylic? The advantage of the acrylic body is that it has TWICE the density of the hardest hardwood and introduces sonic qualities that are not possible with a wood body. The acrylic accentuates the "glassiness" or "twang" that this style is famous for without introducing harsh or tinny overtones. The density of the acrylic also provides a bottom end boost that is sometimes lacking in lighter versions of this style. However, some players find the weight of the traditional acrylic body on the heavy side, so we have kept the original body shape but removed a substantial part of the weight using our special "sonic cavity" process that retains all the sound that everyone loves about the acrylics while reducing the weight by 42%. We have also upgraded the pickups to genuine Wilkinson© single coils and Humbuckers, added stainlesss steel frets, a maple fingerboard, and full size premium pots.
