Product Features

The all-tube Orange Amplifiers Thunderverb TH200HTC amp head offers channel switching with a footswitchable attenuator, a tube FX loop, tube-driven reverb, and a thundering 200W of power. The Orange TH200HTC amp is armed with 2 clean/crunch/lead channels each with 3 gain stages. Channel A has the same 3-band EQ as the lead channel on the Orange Rockerverb series amps. Channel B offers a shape control that scoops the mids and increases the bass and treble when turned up.

The Orange Thunderverb head's footswitchable attenuator is great for those really loud lead breaks. Nothing can match the TH200HTC amp's bone crushing, bottom-end punch that makes this a big-stage tone machine. Even when used quietly, you know that with the Thunderverb amp you're commanding serious power. The Orange amp head's full 3" Dual Snake 8 transformer ensures that the bottom end is kept fast and tight and the upper mids and top end stay sweet and musical at any volume. Thanks to its extended tonal range you can even use the revolutionary TH200HTC Orange Thunderverb amplifier as a bass head.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

I've had my thunder verb 200 for nearly two years and have compared it to dozens of other heads, from Marshall to bogner. This amp has tone for miles, on is own it can go heavier than ac-dc on its own, but needs some sort of od for going into the more metal tones. Blues, country, and jazz all sound great. The reverb has a ton, and i mean a ton of room, from hardly there all the way to wall of sound esc. The attenuator is a cool toy to have when needing to stay quiet with this beast. One bit of fair warning though, to run the beast at 200w and matched to a cab, you're gonna need an 8ohm cab, not the standard orange 16

.I had this amp for about 4 months and while the quality was superb, the tone was not. It had a very artificial distortion, which I thought would grow on me, but it never did. I traded a rockerverb 50 for it, and I'll be the first to say that I should have kept the rockerverb. I aslo had a vintage marshall head(which I sold recently), and it blew both orange amps COMPLETELY out of the water, tonally and volume wise. I now own a Bad Cat Hot Cat 30, and I couldn't be happier. So, if you're gonna drop 3k on an amp, do yourself a favor, and don't drop it on an Orange

.I was able to have the chance to play this amp head and it was amazing. Orange Amplifiers no matter what WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT.Don't listen to the person underneath this review. Granted you'll have to shell out a large sum of money which explains the value part, but it will be worth it. I'd choose this over any Marshall personally.

.I haven't bought a Tube amp in 6 years because this one just does the job for everything I need. When I first bought it I used both channels, but now I pretty much keep it to channel A because I quickly grew tired of the 'shape' nob, and I just wanted classic tri-knob control and a nice british-sounding gain. For some reason, as I grew older with the amp I found all the sounds produced by that shape knob were a little gimmicky and inauthentic, but when my friends come over they always mess around with it and give compliments.

I love the amp, but I must say that playing around with some other vintage heads and some Mesa heads I have been thoroughly impressed with tone from other amp manufacturers, but it's all preference, and I feel this Orange gives me the versatility to play most any genre I would be interested in playing and sounding great (nothing too clean, and nothing too heavy—other amps are better for the extreme ends of the spectrum).

.when i bought this amp, i didnt know what to expect; i had been using a peavey windsor for six months, and i wanted something good. after hearing it for the first time, i was instantly in love with it. it doesnt have a dedicated clean channel, but i use ch b for my clean, and leave the scoop knob in the center. it does the trick. ch a has your typical 3 knob orange set up, but thats all you need. this thing will sound good no matter what you do to it. you cannot go wrong buying this amp, even the 50 would be killer. i use the tv 200 in the studio as well as live, for bass and guitar depending what band im playing with...if you have back problems, this amp may not be for you. its as heavy as a svt
