We bought this for my wife who has no live sound experience. Within minutes she was able to operate it. Lightweight, compact, simple to operate (it even has instructions printed on the case) this is the perfect system for the non-professional who needs a couple of vocal mics for singers or speakers. Plenty of power for a speaker to be heard clearly in any size room up to a high school gym. More portable and simpler to operate than the Fender Passport series. Set-up or load out in five minutes or less.
Four inputs, plenty of power for a speaker or a couple of vocalists backed by a CD. Ideal for meetings or for a couple of vocalists with CD accompaniment.
If you turn it on it works. If you drop it it doesn't break.
More than adequate power and sound clarity for the price. Solid USA construction.

.As a professional presenter AND working musician the Messenger delivers solid sound, power for its size and ease of use. I travel a lot presenting in front of large and small groups and this unit can do it all. If you're looking for thumping low end, forget it. But perfect for solo guitar and vocal work. I do House Concerts and it is the perfect fit!
Peavey Messenger Portable Sound System
.I have been researching the best sound system for Travelling with my dance company for small and mid- size venues. I believe this is it. It's very easy to set up and user friendly for those of us who aren't musicians. This product serves well for dancers and dance teachers too!
Peavey Messenger Portable Sound System
.I have been looking for something to provide an amazing system for my home, but something that I could also easily use at many small events. The messenger provided the perfect solution. Looking at it's size I was surprised at it's output and quality of sound. The mic was also fairly surprising as it can easily compete with more expensive microphones. The mixer can provide for most of the events you will be doing. If you are on a budget for money or space or even if you have a fairly large budget this is a system you should get that I would highly recommend to anyone.

.Out of the box, the unit is missing the Microphone and Mic Cable.
The small attached speakers are not really adiquate for performing, But with the addition of a couple good speakers the sound is very adiquate, and plenty for any small venue. Very easy set up and transport. PA itself is a very good unit.

.A lot of power in such a small size. Great for small conference rooms, Church meetings and even out door activities. When it's time to go, just a matter of minutes, Grab my brief-case and I am on the roll. The Peavey Messenger got what it takes!

.I am absolutely blown away by this light weight, portable sound system! I lead a ukulele group and need help hearing myself and the group hearing me. This unit is easy to set up, easy to transport and packs a punch! For the money...its FANTASTIC!!!
Peavey Messenger Portable Sound System
.I wish I had purchased this unit when I first looked. It is super easy to set up and the sound is clear and its loud. I used it with an aux board to handle more mics and it worked wonderfully at our Bluegrass gig. I use it for a Bluegrass jam each week with portable mics and place one speaker near the jammers and one for the audience and it works perfectly. It's as close as you can get to an instant pop-up PA system. I've been using this for about 3 months and have not found any flaws yet.

.We have played MANY small venues and even a handful of outdoor reception events with just this little puppy for vocals. You need some kind of effects in front and I use a behringer minimic pre-amp. I have even run my guitar into this little gem, ditching the guitar amp in favor of floor space in some of the more crowded stages--it sounded amazingly good enough. If you are tired of dragging a ton of gear around for these little gigs, this IS your solution. If it had internal effects, even just some reverb, I would say it goes to 11.
