.I am a sound engineer and I purchased these speakers to serve as mains for my PA system. I usually work with three to five-piece bands in small to medium venues. These speakers are very impressive and I was blown away by the clarity and sound quality the first time I turned them on. Very little EQ is needed to get things to sound good. The DSP is great, though I would have like to see the manual specify the different EQ curves available to me instead of suggesting a 'guess and check' method. I like the ability to name your presets. The LED on the front of the speaker is a nice touch, and it's great that it turns red when the internal limiting is active. This limiting is extremely smooth - barely noticable to the audience. It's nice and bright so you can see it easily fro the front of house position. Though I would like to have seen an on/off switch for this LED. The fan does a good job of keeping the amp cool, though you may notice the fan noise with quiet sets or in small venues. But it's not that noticable. The max SPL isn't the best for live sound, and it was difficult at times to maintain enough headroom. But for a moderate volume or small venue these will do just fine.
