Keeley’s Dark Side takes the compact form factor of the Workstation series pedals and gives it the Floyd treatment, by giving you two sides—one analog, one digital—to approximate every tone on its namesake album. The right side of the pedal is the Fuzz side, and Keeley has painstakingly engineered a primo 1977 op-amp based Muff circuit which has gain for days and super-buttery sustain. This type of fuzz plays extremely well with modulation, as we will talk about later. For now, the Fuzz side contains a mids toggle which gives you a boost in that frequency, silencing those who complain about the Muff’s lack of mids.

The left side of pedal is the Mod side, and this is where the Dark Side earns its keep. On this side, you have access to any one of five effects: Flanger, Rotary, Delay, “UVibe” and Phaser.
