I'm Michael.
I'm here to Wheel & Deal, serious offers always considered.
I've been a Guild Guy since 1978, I focus on buying and selling the Models I play (a 79 F50 & 87 JF65-12) I search all across the country for them daily, the good news is I did the shopping for you. Got a Guild you want to sell? I'm always looking, feel free to drop me a line.
* Want it...but can't afford it today? Reverb Lay Away Available
Here we have a 1987 JF30-12 in a Rockin' Translucent Red.
Featuring: Spruce top, Maple sides, Laminated arched Maple Back, Rosewood Fingerboard and Bridge. This is a great guitar. It's had the bridge re glued, and is perfectly set up. It's Easy to play and sounds Great. It's got a couple of small dings on the top and one on the upper Bout (see Pics). If you want or need a Red guitar for your stage work...this one for you, it's got a Pick Up that takes a 9 volt. It comes with the Original Case in Used but good shape.
A Note on Condition:
I find the Guilds I offer for sale, everywhere and anywhere. Turns out most of sellers are older guys who are coming to the end of their paying days.
What I've learned after seeing a 100 or so Westerly Guilds is this, Guild didn't make 'Perfect Guitars
Almost every one I see has some kind of neck issue going on. It could be the frets, the Nut or the Bridge
The guitar might need a set up. I only buy guitars that might need minor repairs. Keep in mind any guitar you buy from me is going to be 17-40 plus years old. Stuff Happens!
If it isn't a neck issue, it's cracks in the top caused by the pick guard shrinking or have varying degrees of 'weather checking'.
If you're looking for a 'Perfect Mint Guild' from the Westerly Factory, I'm pretty sure they don't exist.
If you think they do...find a seller that agrees with you. I can guarantee any Guild Guitar you buy from me will be playable and should be good to go, or might need minor work to get it to where you want it to be.
