Based on the 1970s version of the famous Neumann U87 condenser microphone. This build includes a french made RM K87 capsule, matched JFET transistors,  a Cinemag C13 output transformer and a Neutrik XLR socket with gold pins. The U87 has three switchable polar patters: cardioid, omnidirectional and figure of eight. 

The microphone comes in a wooden box and with a sturdy silver shock mount.
