The Switchblade+ offers a convenient solution to a player's switching needs. Route your signal to either output A or B, or send it to both at once. Connect a tuner or effects pedal to its dedicated Tuner output. With a fully passive audio path and active LED indication, the new Switchblade+ is your utilitarian sidekick.
- Controls -
A/B Footswitch (LED) - Press this switch to route the input signal to either OUT A (Red LED) or OUT B (Green LED).
A+B Footswitch (LED) - Press this switch to route the input signal to both OUT A and OUT B. When A+B is engaged (Red LED), the A/B Footswitch has no effect on the signal path.
- I/O -
INPUT - Connect the output of your instrument or another effects pedal to this jack.
TUNER - Connect this jack to the input of a tuner device or another effects pedal. This jack is hardwired to the INPUT jack and provides a direct output regardless of the state of the unit.
OUT A - Connect this jack to the input of an amplifier or the input of another effects pedal. Depending on the state of the A/B and A+B controls, this jack will output either the direct input signal or no signal. When the A/B LED is lit red or the A+B LED is lit up, OUT A is selected.
OUT B - Connect this jack to the input of an amplifier or the input of another effects pedal. Depending on the state of the A/B and A+B controls, this jack will output either the direct input signal or no signal. When the A/B LED is lit green or the A+B LED is lit up, OUT B is selected.
- Power -
The SWITCHBLADE+ can be powered by a 9V battery or a 9VDC battery eliminator capable of delivering at least 16mA. The optional 9V power supply from Electro-Harmonix is 9.6DC-200BI (same as used by Boss & Ibanez) 9.6 Volts DC 200mA. The power supply must have a barrel connector with center negative.
The SWITCHBLADE+ can also operate without power, since the audio path is fully passive. With no power, however, the LED indication will not function.
When A+B is engaged, the input impedance at the INPUT jack is equal to 50kÎ in parallel with the combined input impedances of the devices connected to the TUNER, OUT A, and OUT B jacks. When A+B is not engaged, the input impedance at the INPUT jack is equal to 100kÎ in parallel with the combined input impedances of the devices connect to the TUNER jack and OUT A or OUT B.

I took a gamble on this because I couldn't find any reviews about it. I am very very happy with it overall especially the A+B ("Y") feature. I didn't notice any loss of signal and no noise, no pops when switching, no bleed on single channels. it's perfect. I am using the unit to switch between two different pedal boards, one is a board with 20 pedals on it, the other is my GNX3000. It's nice to blend A+B together and I get some really neat new sounds. It looks bigger in the picture than it isfeatures powered LED lights for ease and a tuner output
rugged design high quality components
great price compared to other brands

.I took a gamble based on the review I found on this site and I have to say I was hugely disappointed. A was fine, B was fine, Y is mud. I have a very Mid-ranged twangy bright guitar and two things happened when I hit the A+B switch. One: the volume dropped and Two: the tone went flat.
There is a lot of noise on the B side during the A+B feature and the phase goes off easily, especially if you B side has a lot more pedals then your A. If you're hoping for a transparent A or B to A+B you won't find it here but unfortunately, you won't find it inexpensively either.

.The main reason I purchased this pedal was for the way the switches are set up. The Switchblade plus has the A/B switch on the LEFT side of pedal where as 99% of all ABY pedals out there the A/B switch is on the RIGHT. The way my pedal board is set up I need that A/B switch on the left.
I use this pedal to switch between 2 amps from 1 pedal board. All my pedal effects go into the input of Switchblade plus, then out A goes to amp 1, out B goes into a looper pedal then out to amp 2. So I can send live loops to a separate amp.
EHX makes great products in the USA. Buy this instead of a Morley.

.This little device does exactly what it is supposed to do: It switches, quietly, adds no noise, and does not color the sound.
I like these guys so musch, I have 3 of them on my pedal board!

.Pro's: Well Built, Clean Sound, Easy to Use, and like all Electro Harmonix Products - BUILT like a Tank!
Con's: Runs on Batteries by default, you will need to purchase a power supply seperately or finally get a multi unit power supply (like a DC Brick) to get rid of all of your individual power supplies and power from a single power unit.
I plan to purchase more of these, I like them!

.This signal splitter is ultra-cool, with tone as clear could be. It doesn't effect tone in the least. I layer guitar tones via a Vox amp & a Korg effects processor and get amazing results. Made in NYC...great looks...buy the home team...the winning team...Electro-Harmonix!

.i priced a lot of these and this one was a few dollars cheaper than most, plus it's a E.H so i know it will hold it's value on the name alone. owned a morely version of it for 20yrs and finally lost it, This seems to work just as good.

.I love all of my EH pedals for the same reason. They are no nonsense, simple to the heart of the function. They do what they do well withou unecessary bells and whistles to drive up costs. This is no exceprion, if you need to switch between amps or pedals, this pedal does it beilliantly. I use to switch between my electric and acoustice rigs, since each has a separate amp and effects loop. I wish it had MIDI so it could speak to my future MIDI loop switcher, but for now I will take it as is. Brilliant!

.I purchased this to use with my Dual Amp Wet/Dry rig and it works very well. I only have two slight gripes.
1. The tuner out is pointless for me. I DO like the option but I use my tuner pedal to defeat my entire signal and this doesn't allow that. However I figured this was the case going in so no point off. As an added bonus, I can use the tuner out port to record a DI signal, so this ended up being useful after all.
2. A few reviewers have said there is signal degredation(loss of treble) when using both channels. The specs for the switchblade+ state that when both outputs are used, the output impedence is halved, so I didn't think it would be an issue. Lo, and Behold, there is some loss. It is barely noticeable but it IS noticeable. This could probably be fixed with a little EQ adjustment, but I tried a Buffer right befroe the Switchblade+ and it worked wonderfully.
Luckily I have had no phase or isolation issues and I have had no signal bleed as a few others have stated.
Overall I am glad I got this and it works exactly how I need it too.

.Simple, if you have a Fender Blackface amp for example (I have a 68 Vibrolux Custom) and want to use both channels together or individually, this will do the trick. Also if you have two amps, you can switch from one to the other or use both at the same time. This is an essential tool for live performances.
