I ordered this guitar and received it within 3 days. Opened the box and inspected the guitar, man what a beautiful looking guitar. I bought the dark cherry sunburst finish, looks great. I tuned it then checked the neck and intonation, right on out of box, impressive. Sat down and played for a few hours. the pattern regular neck is very comfortable to play, wish it was a 24 1/2 scale instead of 25 in but no big deal.Sound is anything you want it to be, classic rock, blues, jazz, coil splitting on both humbuckers gives you many sound options. It came with a padded gig bag but i ended up putting it in a musicians gear electric guitar case, a little wider but the padding formed to the guitar and now it's a perfect fit. If your a single cut player this is a great guitar.

.This guitar is a great value exhibits exceptional playability and fantastic tone, this is the first guitar in about the last 15 I've purchased I have not immediately wanted to change pickups on. The stock pups offer great output, very balanced and with the push/pull pots offer excellent versatility for any kind of music. Well worth the price and makes it hard to justify buying a core line product. I purchased in antique white and although it's a great looking guitar I will say there are a few imperfections in the finish, but not enough to make me want to return it. Playability and set up were great out of the box, don't hesitate on this guitar you won't be sorry.

.I've been playing guitar and drums on and off 30 years. Never had a gibson lp, friends have not me. I have owned Ibanez jem, 2 jp music man , traded one for a prs s2 custom 24, plugged it into my mesa f50, heaven! Wanted a single cut with split coil saw this bought no second thoughts. Received it plugged in right out of box the tone out of this world. Alot of people say Marshall and gibson for rock. I say prs and a mesa boogie, prs is a awesome guitar built in Maryland. The neck is different than the 24, but your hand just glides all over the neck. The split coils gives you so many options for the sound you want. If your saving for an se you should look into a s2 for a little more money you'll know why! I highly recommend this guitar!

I have the dark cherry S2 (not sunburst), and have been playing it for about 5 months, mainly for recording. I am very pleased with the instrument -- fit and finish are beautiful, holds a tune well, easy to play, and very comfortable (much lighter than my Les Paul). With the three-way switch, and optional coil-splitting on each of the pickups, you can get a nice variety of clean tones without a lot of fiddling around. Compared with the LP, the PRS pickup output is noticeably hotter, but sounds good. If you like to keep a clip-on tuner attached, there is room on the headstock, but just barely -- less room than on any other guitar I own. I ordered this from Custom Guitar's Friend, and received it within 3 days with no problems. The initial setup was good, although I did have some tweaking done at the local shop to get things just right. So far I am 100% pleased with the instrument, and recommend it highly. The biggest plusses for me are that I have an easier time getting a broad range of sounds than with the Les Paul, and really appreciate the lighter weight.

.PRS has great quality. This guitar is everything I wanted it to be and more. Rich tone of a Les Paul to the screaming pitch of a strat. Just overall a great playing and sounding guitar.
