With a huge, almost cult-like following world-wide, the Jazz series of picks have become the favorite choice for guitar players to take their technical playing to the next level. Guitar virtuosos such as Eric Johnson, John Petrucci, Alexi Laiho and Joe Bonamassa rely on the Jazz III because of its quick release molded edge and sharp tip.

These are second only to the D'Andrea Pro Plec for jazz. They're a tad bit brighter than the Pro Plec because the texture gives them a slight rasp, so the release doesn't have the glass-like smoothness of the D'Andrea. They're virtually unbendable, so that makes them fast. The stiffness also makes them a good candidate for beveling with the grinding attachment of a Dremel tool. I either bevel the left and right sides of both front and back, or just the right sides of both front and back (right sides, if the pick points downward). If you bevel just the right sides, you imitate the wear pattern of a well-used pick. The result is a way smoother release, and because you're reducing the gauge only at the edge that contacts the string, you get the sound of a thin pick, but the control of a thicker pick. Beveled, these picks give you a thick tone even during fast runs.Dunlop Ultex Jazz III Guitar Pick 24-Pack 2.0 mm
.Excellent value!
The Ultex Jazz III's were introduced to me by a guitar playing friend. I had previously used Jazz III Max Grips, but when I played these, I switched over right away. They have a different style grip to them that allows for me to have more control when tremolo picking. They have a nice chunk sound and are perfect size for my gorilla hands.
Dunlop are the king of picks, as usual.
For the durability of the picks, it's a great value.
Dunlop Ultex Jazz III Guitar Pick 24-Pack 2.0 mm
.These picks are fantastic. They have everything you love about the Jazz III with none of what you dislike. They're just a hair thicker and more rounded than a traditional Jazz III. That combined with the ultex material really allows the pick to fly over the strings. The raised print enhances your grip just enough without getting in the way when you adjust your hold for strumming chords.
Aside from the technical stuff, they get that cool "shark tooth" look after a good amount of use which is justification enough to buy it. I mean shark teeth? Sweet.

.Very good for styles like Jason Becker, John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert. If switching from a regular pick, you'll have to perform some picking exercises for a few days to burn in the smaller nature, but well worth it. 24 pack rules \m/\m/
